The Formula Grasstrack class of 2026 heads to Buxton on Saturday 20th June for what promises to be an action-packed day of racing. Sponsored by All Clear Services Ltd, the FGA Speedway Extravaganza has attracted a strong entry across all classes, with riders travelling from across the country to take to the shale for the first time in 20 years for the Association.

A healthy field of competitors will line up throughout the day, ranging from the youngest riders in the E-Bike and Auto classes through to the experienced Senior competitors.
The E-Bike class features eight riders, including current champion Reggie Goodwin, but Goodwin will have his work cut out against Cruz Harris and Oscar South, who have shown they are capable of beating the 2025 champion. Hadlee Jones and Harry Wicks have shown huge improvements in recent weeks, as well as the progress from Blake Woolley, Florence Rickards and Maddie Adams, who are all making their debut seasons in the E-Bike category.
Five riders are entered in the Cubs class, where Lucas Astley, Lilly Bence, Albie South, Dakota Wright and Rogan Woolley will contest every point available in what should be a closely fought contest to make the A final. Astley has been in superb form this season, but South has had to find determination after an unlucky start to the season. Wright and Woolley are both class acts and will be looking to make good progress at Hi Edge, whilst Bence has pedigree from the younger youth classes; her debut season in this class has only just begun.

The Auto class sees four youngsters take to the track, with Grayson Rickards, Cruz Harris, Isla Gannon and Kobi Gutteridge all aiming to put on a show. Meanwhile, Dalton Wright will be the sole representative in the Cadets category.
The Juniors class may only feature four riders, but the quality is high. John Cox Jr., Joe Bain, Jessica Cox and Archie Whitelam have all demonstrated excellent pace this season and will be looking to claim top honours in Buxton.
In a first for the organisers, the senior class has been divided into 2 classes, Super 8 and Sweet Sixteen. Assembled in the Super Eight category, David Meredith, Phil Thomas, Glyn Edwards, Adam Hawker, Kevin Gwilliam, Graham Thomas, Wayne Broadhurst and Sam Crabtree are set to provide some of the closest racing of the day. Meredith, Edwards and Broadhurst all have speedway experience at different league racing levels, so they are expected to be the ones to watch, whilst the Thomas brothers, Gwilliam, and Hawker are all top performers in the 125cc class. Crabtree has been a revelation in 2026 after making his debut last season; he’s been knocking on the door of the top 8 this season and made a breakthrough at the last round.
The Sweet Sixteen class boasts a strong field of riders. Oliver Glaze, Stephen Mace, Charlie Glaze, Nick Chadwick, Theo Copestake, Josh Baddeley, Colin Thorpe, Isaac CollinsBullock, Chris Chadwick, Steve Stait, Brandon Gutteridge, Marcus Crutchington, Den Edwards, Ben Crabtree, Kieran Swindells and Paul Dufty will all be aiming for the A final in what is expected to be one of the most competitive meetings of the season.
With over 40 riders entered across seven classes, spectators can expect plenty of exciting wheel-to-wheel action starting at 11.30am with practice followed by racing at 1pm.
