Following the opening round at Sparrington Farm, Ledbury, the Leamington meeting combined high-quality racing with powerful storylines across all classes, while also beginning to shape the early championship standings.

In the headline Senior class, reigning Champion Wayne Broadhurst produced another outstanding performance to take victory in the A Final, extending his lead at the top of the standings. Despite securing the overall win, Broadhurst was pushed hard throughout, with the only rider to defeat him on track being his son, Max, in one of the standout moments of the meeting.

Former Champion Graham Thomas remains firmly in contention, while Kevin Gwillam, Phil Thomas and Adam Hawker continue to form a tightly packed chasing group, underlining just how competitive the Senior category has become early in the season.

One of the standout stories came from Isaac Collins-Bullock, who not only reached his first-ever A Final but also claimed Senior Rider of the Day honours, a result that lifts him further into the championship mix alongside Sam Crabtree, who continues to build on his strong start to the year.

Further down the order, Charlie Glaze claimed victory in the B Final, while Nathan Alder took honours in the C Final, highlighting the strength in depth across the Senior field.

The meeting began with early drama, as a practice crash involving Kaylem Bourne and Albie South resulted in both riders being withdrawn before racing began.
There was a further incident in the Junior class later in the day, where Jessica Cox suffered a heavy fall on the start line after her bike flipped, resulting in a broken shoulder. In an extraordinary show of determination, she returned to the tapes to compete in the final, a ride that earned widespread respect.
On track, Archie Whitelam continued his perfect start to the season, strengthening his position at the top of the Junior standings. John Cox Jr and Jessica Cox remain locked together just behind, setting up an intriguing battle as the season progresses.

The E-Bike class once again delivered some of the most exciting racing of the day, featuring the largest entry in the championship’s history. Reggie Goodwin maintained his winning run to move to the top of the standings, but Oscar South remains right on his heels after another impressive performance.

Hadlee Jones continues to impress in third overall in the standings, while Harry Wicks, Cruz Harris and Blake Woolley are all closely grouped in a competitive midfield. Cruz Harris, son of British Speedway and Grasstrack stalwart Chris Harris, enjoyed a strong debut meeting, adding another exciting young name to the class.

Maddie Adams was recognised with the Youth Rider of the Day award following a determined performance on her debut.

In the Auto class, Levi Collins continued his unbeaten run to lead the standings, with Kobi Gutteridge close behind after another strong showing. Harry Worrall sits third overall, while Grayson Rickards delivered another impressive performance to secure a podium finish.

JJ Falconer made his first start in the Auto class, gaining valuable bike time and building confidence on his new machine, marking an encouraging step forward as he adapts to the category.

The Cadet class saw Bodhi Baker just edging ahead of Dalton Wright in the standings after a close contest between the two.

In the Cubs class, Lucas Astley leads the way after two rounds, but Rogan Woolley and Lillie-Mai Warwick remain firmly in contention. Notably, Dakota Wright, the 2025 Cadet Champion, continues his progression in the class, while his brother Dalton Wright, the 2025 Auto Champion, is also making his mark in the championship, underlining the strength of talent coming through the ranks.

With two rounds now complete, the championship picture is beginning to take shape, but with margins tight across multiple classes, the battle for honours remains wide open.
Round 3 will take place on the 6th June, with a venue change meaning the series returns to Leamington Victory.
