It’s back to the Czech Republic and the Kramolin track for the opening round of a nine-venue 2025 title chase for the FIM World Sidecarcross gold medal.

The Nepomuk Club has organised sidecar motocross for decades, and this track in the Pilsen region is renowned for its technicality and tough nature.
The entry list is crammed with talent, headed by defending champion Marvin Vanluchene, now reunited with French passenger Nicolas Musset.
This looks like being one of the most closely fought campaigns of recent years given the quality of the top six and beyond.
The young Latvian Lielbardis brothers so very nearly lifted the title in 2024 and are back for more. Kramolin is a track which has tested them previously and they will be determined to lay any ghosts.
Another pairing of brothers, hails from France. Killian and Evan Prunier had a sensational year, finishing third in the standings, and are proven race-winners. To become the first ever world champions from France is their dream, but it could become reality.
Also looking for that elusive first title is Koen Hermans, once again partnered by Ben van den Bogaart. Following a change of engine type late in 2024, their fortunes moved in the right direction, so will this be their year?
Then we turn to Great Britain and the hard-charging Brett Wilkinson. Fifth placed in 2024, he and Joe Millard have been the only British constant in the series since Stuart Brown stepped back from full-time action three seasons ago. The dogged Wilkinson is another proven race-winner moving to a change in engine type. If they finish every race, who knows what they might achieve?
Tim Prummer from Germany is once again teamed up with Jarno Steegmans the young Belgian. Son of former Grand Prix star Peter Steegmans, Jarno has enthusiasm by the bucketful with skill to match. Their potential is huge, and with a relatively short nine-round season ahead, will be going for every point.
There is a strong entry list for this opening round, with far too much talent to name-check individually, but by the close of play on Sunday 11th May, we will have a better idea of the new pecking order of 2025.
TV Live Stream will be running across the weekend for all qualifying and Grand Prix races, now shown as it happens exclusively on the FIM-MOTO TV channel, with our WSC traditional highlights show following on.
