Saturday – Qualifying Action

Sidecar Practice & Qualifying
Free Practice saw the Lielbardis twins impress early with the only sub-1:50 lap of the morning, but when it came to Timed Practice, it was the Prunier brothers (Killian & Evan) who set the benchmark in Group A with a blistering 1:49.104. Davy Sanders and Justin Keuben also broke the 1:50 barrier. In Group B, the Lielbardis twins were quickest, though Koen Hermans and Tim Prümmer were close behind.

In the Qualifying Races, Group A saw Vanluchene/Musset take the holeshot and the win, with the Pruniers recovering from an early off to take second. Wilkinson/Millard battled suspension issues to claim third, while Keuben secured a solid fourth.

Group B delivered a tense duel as Prümmer led early before being overhauled by Hermans, who controlled the race from mid-distance. The Lielbardis twins climbed to second, while Prümmer held on for third under pressure from Weiss/Schneider.

Last Chance Qualifier
All major contenders progressed smoothly. The young Verhees brothers impressed by qualifying for their first GP Sunday.

Sunday – Race Day

The sun returned for a packed Sunday programme, with perfect track conditions and a buzzing atmosphere.

Sidecar Race One
Prümmer/Steegmans rocketed into the early lead but were reeled in by Hermans/van den Bogaart, who eventually stretched out a comfortable winning margin. The Pruniers held off a late charge from Prümmer to finish second. Vanluchene/Musset fought through traffic to claim fourth, ahead of Keuben/Rietman. Brown/Grahame were delayed in a mid-pack pile-up but salvaged 13th.

Sidecar Race Two
A surprise holeshot from Austrians Weiss/Schneider set the tone for a dramatic second moto. Vanluchene, Hermans, and Prümmer all charged through the field, while the Lielbardis twins had to recover from a first-lap incident. Hermans climbed to second by the flag, securing the overall win, but could not overhaul Weiss/Schneider, who took a career-first GP victory to the delight of the home crowd. The Pruniers again rode strongly to fourth, cementing second overall, with Vanluchene/Musset rounding out the podium.

The 2025 season is off to a flying start, with established stars and emerging talent already jostling for supremacy. All eyes now turn to the next round as the WSC heads to Foxhill in two weeks’ time.
