Mewse, Mustoe & Stock on top at Landrake! 2026 MXGB Round 4 - Rundown & Results

Round four of the 2026 Motul ACU British Motocross Championship delivered a brilliant day of racing at Landrake Moto Park, with Conrad Mewse producing a dominant performance in MX1 while Ben Mustoe claimed his first-ever MX2 overall victory.

The fast and technical Cornish venue once again proved a hit with riders and fans alike, serving up close racing and dramatic battles throughout the day.

Conrad Mewse dominated MX1 going 1-1 on the day to take the overall

In MX1, Mewse looked back to his very best as the Crendon Tru7 Honda rider swept to a commanding double race win to take over the championship lead by a single point from Dirt Store Triumph’s Ben Watson.

Ben Watson finished second at Landrake.

The opening moto saw a surprise early leader as Steven Clarke blasted his Stark Varg Electric machine into the first turn ahead of the field, but he quickly slipped backwards as Mewse took control of proceedings.

Todd Kellet finished sixth overall on his UK Honda debut

Behind the Honda rider, Watson, SR Motoblouz Honda’s Todd Kellett, DRT Kawasaki’s Taylor Hammal and Apico Honda’s Tom Grimshaw battled over the remaining podium places while championship contender Oriol Oliver on board his Gabriel SS24 KTM endured a nightmare start after crashing early on the first lap while running near the front.

Once clear at the front, Mewse controlled the race brilliantly, stretching his advantage to almost twenty seconds by the chequered flag. Watson eventually secured second after being passed at one point by Hammal, who showed great speed mid-race, while Oliver charged from last to fourth in an impressive recovery ride.

The MX1 podium

Moto two again produced plenty of drama. Travis Steels grabbed the holeshot ahead of Watson, but Mewse wasted little time carving through the pack and was already second by the end of the opening lap.

Watson briefly held the lead before Mewse made his move on lap four and immediately pulled away once again. Oliver suffered more early moto trouble and had to recover from deep in the pack for the second race running, eventually snatching third place from Hammal on the final lap after another aggressive charge through the field, which meant Hammal who went down with four laps to go, damagaing his clutch and riding with no goggles would miss out on hist first ever MX1 overall podium which was a big shame for the Kawasaki rider.

At the front, though, nobody could match Mewse’s pace as he wrapped up a perfect 1-1 scorecard and moved into possession of the coveted red plate heading into the next round at Monster Mountain.

MX2 Red Plate Holder Charlie Heyman extended his lead with second overall

In MX2, ASA United Gas Gas rider Ben Mustoe celebrated a breakthrough day by securing his first overall victory in the British Championship.

SC Sporthomes Husqvarna’s Charlie Heyman was unstoppable in the opening moto, leading every lap to take a convincing win ahead of Mustoe and Dirt Store Triumph’s Tommy Searle, while Joe Brookes impressed on his new Honda machine to finish fourth.

The second moto was interrupted by a red flag following an incident requiring medical attention, leading to a staggered restart under the updated regulations.

Billy Askew was the early MX2 Moto 2 leader but he couldn’t hold off Ben Mustoe

Billy Askew led the early laps of the restarted race with Mustoe applying constant pressure before eventually making the decisive pass for victory on lap seven.

Behind them, Searle and Heyman maintained solid podium positions throughout, while Brookes’ strong day ended prematurely following a heavy crash.

The MX2 podium

The overall result handed Mustoe his first MX2 overall win, with Heyman continuing to extend his championship advantage after another consistent weekend. Searle rounded out the podium in third.

The 125cc class once again belonged to Drew Stock, who continued his unbeaten run with another dominant double race victory aboard his JK Racing Yamaha.

Drew Stock

Fabian Morrison initially led race one before Stock moved into control and quickly disappeared at the front, while Harley Marczak worked his way through the pack to finish second overall on the day.

Joel Winstanley-Dawson and Olly Waters were also in the thick of the action throughout the motos, with Waters enjoying a strong ride in race two before Marczak snatched second late on.

The 125cc podium

Stock’s perfect season continues to strengthen his grip on the championship standings heading into round five at Monster Mountain, which takes place on the 14th June.
