Phoenix Tools Racing has announced it will return to Honda machinery for the 2027 season, ending an eight-year spell away from the Japanese manufacturer.

The team, which currently runs Fantic machinery with Josh Vail and Carlton Husband in the Motul ACU British Motocross Championship, confirmed the switch on social media, describing the move as a return to a brand that delivered some of its biggest successes.

Phoenix Tools Racing previously enjoyed memorable results with Honda, including its first British Championship race victory, an MX1 overall win, Grand Prix points and a Veterans’ World Championship title.
The team posted:
“BIG NEWS for Phoenix Tools Racing for 2027, we are going back on Honda.
“After eight years away from the brand we have made the decision to go back on Honda moving forward.
“We had some great results with Honda with our first British win and top step of the podium in MX1 class and strong GP points and even a Vets World title.
“More news to follow.”
It will be interesting to see if Vail and Husband will be back with Phoenix Tools Racing for 2027 in Honda colours, or if additional or new riders will be joining the squad.
