Romian Febvre joins Ducati for the 2027 & 2028 seasons

Romain Febvre will switch manufacturers for 2027 after signing a two-year deal with Ducati.

The Frenchman, a two-time MXGP World Champion, will join the Red Bull Ducati Factory MXGP Team for the 2027 and 2028 seasons, riding the Desmo450 MX as Ducati continues to strengthen its presence in the premier class under team manager Louis Vosters.

Febvre, who made his MX2 World Championship debut in 2012 before stepping up to MXGP in 2015, brings a wealth of experience and success to the Italian manufacturer.

The 34-year-old has claimed MXGP world titles in 2015 and 2025, finished runner-up in 2021 and 2023, and was third in the MX2 World Championship in 2014. Across his career he has amassed 26 Grand Prix victories and 97 podium finishes, while also helping France win the Motocross of Nations on four occasions in 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2023.

The move represents another major signing for Ducati as it continues to build its factory motocross programme ahead of the 2027 campaign.
