British riders were once again at the sharp end of the action as the 2026 Paulo Duarte FIM EnduroGP World Championship headed to Fafe, Portugal, with Steve Holcombe, Brad Freeman, Rosie Rowett and Elizabeth Tett all delivering strong performances across a demanding weekend.
Garcia Doubles Up In Portugal
Red Bull KTM’s Josep Garcia strengthened his grip on the EnduroGP World Championship with a perfect weekend in Portugal, taking victory on both days of racing.
The Spaniard was pushed hard throughout Saturday by Andrea Verona, Zach Pichon and Britain’s Steve Holcombe, with less than 11 seconds separating the leading quartet heading into the final lap.

Holcombe eventually missed out on the podium by just 22 seconds, finishing fourth overall, while Hamish Macdonald rounded out the top five.
Sunday saw Garcia complete the double with another commanding performance, finishing over 30 seconds clear of the chasing pack. Macdonald secured second overall, while Pichon edged Holcombe out of the final podium position by just three seconds.

Holcombe Keeps Title Pressure On
Despite narrowly missing the EnduroGP podium, Sherco Racing’s Steve Holcombe enjoyed a productive weekend in the Enduro3 category.
The British rider claimed victory in Enduro3 on both days and has significantly tightened the championship battle heading into the final two rounds of the season.
Sunday’s result leaves the title fight incredibly close, with Brad Freeman leading the Enduro3 standings by just one point from Albin Norrbin, while Holcombe sits only two points further back in third.
With two rounds remaining, the championship remains wide open.

Freeman Remains In Championship Control
Beta Factory Racing’s Brad Freeman endured a challenging weekend but leaves Portugal still leading the Enduro3 World Championship.
The British star finished third in class on Sunday and now holds a slender one-point advantage at the top of the standings.
With Holcombe closing rapidly and Norrbin also firmly in contention, the battle for the Enduro3 crown looks set to go down to the wire.

Rowett Claims Podium Finish
There was further British success in the Women’s category as Rosie Rowett secured a podium finish on day two.
The Rieju rider battled throughout the day before taking third overall, narrowly denying home favourite Joana Goncalves a podium finish by just over one second.
The Women’s class also saw Rachel Gutish crowned the 2026 FIM Women’s Enduro World Champion after securing enough points to wrap up the title with one round remaining.
Canadian rider Shelby Turner continued her impressive form by taking victory on both days in Portugal.

Tett Continues Strong Season
British rider Elizabeth Tett also impressed throughout the weekend.
The Electraction TM MOTO rider finished fourth overall on Saturday and fifth on Sunday, whilst once again topping the Expotrade Junior Women’s Enduro category.
Her performances continue to underline her growing status as one of Britain’s brightest female enduro talents.
Next Stop France
Following two weekends of racing in Portugal, the EnduroGP World Championship now heads to France for round six of the series at Saint-Agrève on July 17-19.
With Freeman, Holcombe and Rowett all firmly in contention across their respective classes, British interest remains high as the championship enters its decisive stages.
