Dirt Hub: Do you have a Pre-Race Playlist you listen too, and if so name a couple of tracks that are on it?

Charlie: I have a racing playlist that has built up over the years, featuring a variety of songs like ‘Can’t hold us’ by Macklemore/Ryan Lewis.

DH: When was the last time you cried?

Charlie: The last time I cried was at one of the British sprint rounds last year when I hurt my ankle.

DH: What is your favourite inspirational quote?

Charlie: My inspirational quote is ‘Never give up until the end’

DH: Do you have any weird suspicions or pre-race rituals?

Charlie: I always touch my goggle strap right before I start a test, but I don’t really know why.

DH: What drives you most to get up in the morning and go training?

Charlie: My motivation to get up and go training is to get what I want to achieve out of my racing.

DH: If you didn’t race what sport would you play or take part it?

Charlie: I don’t know what sport I would do if I didn’t ride bikes, as it’s all I’ve ever done, and it’s what I’m dedicated to.

DH: What is your biggest Phobia?

Charlie: Heights

DH: Who is your biggest sporting idol and why?

Charlie: I’d have to say my biggest sporting idol is Steve Holcombe, purely because of what he has achieved from his racing.

DH: Where do you see yourself in five years time?

Charlie: In five years time, I’d like to see myself riding for a factory team.

DH: What is your all-time favourite movie?

Charlie: The Inbetweeners

DH: Who has had the biggest impact on your career?

Charlie: My mum and dad have to have had the biggest impact on my career, as they have always supported me in my racing and continue to do so to allow me to achieve my dreams.

DH: What is your philosophy on life?

Charlie: I believe you just have to enjoy life and aim to be successful in whatever you are doing.
