Mitch Brightmore is the latest British Extreme Enduro youngster to break through into the big time after winning the Junior class at the opening round of the 2023 SuperEnduro Championship, and finishing fourth at the weekend’s British Extreme Super Series first round at Fatcat, so we thought it was high time we got him in on the Dirty Dozen action and here is how it went…

DH: What is your favourite inspirational quote?

Mitch: Live your life to the full

DH: Do you have any weird suspicions or pre-race rituals?

Mitch: Only a good old stretch of the body

DH: What drives you most to get up in the morning and go training?

Mitch: The thought of maybe one day being world champion, and I just love riding my bike

DH: If you didn’t race what sport would you play?

Mitch: I would probably do downhill mountain biking or completely away from bikes I would do basketball

DH: What is your biggest Phobia?

Mitch: I don’t have any phobias

DH: Who is your biggest sporting idol and why?

Mitch: Probably James Stewart or Travis Pastrana just because of their style on a bike

DH: Where do you see yourself in five years time?

Mitch: Still riding my bike and hopefully towards the top of the leaderboard in hard enduro and super enduro

DH: What is your all-time favourite movie?

Mitch: Home alone

DH: Who has had the biggest impact on your career?

Mitch: Probably Billy Bolt
