A record-breaking field of more than 280 riders from 40 nations will contest the prestigious event across the 125cc, 85cc and 65cc classes, with both individual world titles and the coveted team championship up for grabs.

Great Britain heads into the weekend looking to make it three consecutive team podium finishes after securing third place in both 2024 and 2025. While Team GB is still chasing its first Junior Motocross World Championship team title, another strong performance would continue Britain’s rise among the world’s leading motocross nations.

Historic Circuit Hosts the World’s Best

The championship returns to the historic MX-Enduro Park Jinín, a hard-pack circuit around 130km south of Prague that has previously hosted both Grand Prix motocross and the Junior World Championship.

The venue has produced several future stars of the sport, with former Junior World Champions including Jorge Prado, Ken Roczen, Jeffrey Herlings, Jett Lawrence, Pauls Jonass and Conrad Mewse all featuring on its roll of honour.

Tough Competition Awaits

Competition is expected to be fierce in every class.

The 125cc category features 100 riders, with Austria’s EMX125 championship leader Moritz Ernecker among the favourites, while several members of the British squad have already gained valuable experience competing in the EMX125 Championship this season.

In the 85cc class, Britain’s Cohen Jagielski and John Slade return after impressive performances in last year’s 65cc World Cup, while Harry Dale, Casey Lister and Jett Gardiner complete another talented British line-up.

The youngest riders will battle in the 65cc World Cup, where Roy Townley, Jack Waters, Tommy Wood, Mason Foreman and Blake Marks-Bracey will fly the British flag against another hugely competitive international field.

Weekend Format

Saturday is dedicated to practice and qualifying, with riders battling to secure their place in Sunday’s championship races.

The individual results from the 125cc, 85cc and 65cc classes will also combine to decide the overall FIM Junior Motocross World Championship team standings, where Team GB will be hoping to add another podium finish to its growing record.

All of Sunday’s racing will be streamed live on MXGP-TV.
