Champions crowned at 2026 Amped Bikes EMX Sparks British Masters finale

The six-round 2026 Amped Bikes EMX Sparks British Masters concluded at Motoland with championships decided by a single point, a points tie settled on race wins and outstanding performances across the balance-bike, electric and petrol classes.

After a season that seemed to fly by, the championship arrived at its sixth and final round with several titles still undecided. Motoland was prepared to a high standard, and the scene was set for two days of decisive racing across the three circuits.

The finale delivered exactly what the series had promised. Poppy Meridith and Jimmy Smith each secured a championship by one point, while Tommy Bridges and Theo Hancock ended the E5 campaign tied on 1,214 points. The title went to Bridges under the championship tie-break rule after the pair could not be separated on points.

Alongside the title drama, the meeting produced dominant maximum-point weekends, impressive guest performances and determined rides from competitors throughout the field.

Junior Track One

12 inch E Drive balance bike

Chester Crump completed a superb season in dominant fashion, winning throughout the weekend to collect maximum points and seal the 2026 championship. Jessie Arnold rode smoothly to finish second overall at the finale, with Ruben Lee close behind in third. Quade Welling placed fourth and Maisie White fifth.

Lee secured championship runner-up honours, followed by Maisie White in third, Harlow Jay Bailey in fourth and Jettson Chessell in fifth.

16 inch 250W E Drive balance bike

Noah Dark was in fine form and looked exceptionally quick on his way to a maximum-points round victory. Poppy Meridith finished second overall, and Henry Waterman third. Zola Cockburn took fourth on countback from Paddy Bell after the pair finished level on points.

The championship could hardly have been closer. Meridith held on to become the 2026 champion by a single point from Dark, with Waterman completing the championship podium in third.

16 inch 400W E Drive balance bike

Another title went down to the final race. Jimmy Smith won every race except one in a closely fought weekend with Tommy White, giving Smith the overall victory. White needed to win the last race to take the championship, but Smith delivered when it mattered and secured the crown by just one point.

White finished the championship as runner-up, while Cree Ryker Grant took third, 14 points ahead of fourth-placed Jesse Alfred.

Junior Track Two

18 inch E Drive balance bike

Harry Meredith was again in outstanding form, reeling off five wins from five starts for a maximum-points overall victory on board his 18` Amped Comp bike. Auley Luxton took second and Ronnie Gardiner enjoyed a strong weekend in third. Joey Jones was only one point behind in fourth, ahead of Jenson Chiles, Harper Luxton, Aria Jones and Seb Carr.

Meredith’s season-long dominance made him the 2026 champion. Jones secured a clear second in the standings, Carr completed the championship podium, and Aria Jones, Harper Luxton and Ronnie Gardiner rounded out the top six.

20 inch E Drive balance bike

Emy Gardner produced a superb finale to win the round by seven points from Cian Bradshaw making it an Amped bike one and two. Alexa Farina Bray completed the podium, with Alfie Alfred fourth and Brook Puddy fifth.
Despite his difficult final round, Bradshaw’s performances across the series earned him the 2026 championship. Gardner finished second, Freya Waterman third, Rupert Foden fourth andAlfred fifth.

Boston Cleft was brilliant once again and took a clear overall win. William Jago remained on his tail and claimed a race win of his own, while Theo Shears secured third overall. Cree Ryker Grant was fourth, Archer Safe fifth by a single point, and Brodie Poucher sixth.

Cleft emerged as the 2026 champion after a season-long battle with Jago, taking the title by 22 points. Safe finished third in the championship, ahead of Grant, Harri Llewellyn and Arthur Thomas James.

Chester Crump added a second class victory to his weekend with another maximum-points performance, ahead of Freddy Fenwick. Fenwick’s work across the full campaign earned him the 2026 E1 championship, with Crump runner-up after joining the class later in the season.

Boycie Clements was in scintillating form, completing an immaculate maximum-points weekend. Reggie Lewis finished second and George Fenwick third, followed by Freddie Holmes, Reagan Jolliffe and Keaton Weaver.
The result secured the 2026 E4 championship for Clements. Fenwick finished just 17 points behind in second, with Lewis third, Holmes fourth and Reggie Gibbs fifth.

PW50

Henri Lewis was flying all weekend, winning every race except the final contest, which went to Taytum Hickey. Lewis took the overall victory from Hickey, with Tommy Haliday third and Denni Morris fourth. Jessie Watson was one point behind in fifth, followed by Liliana Stephens, Axel Farina Bray, Jax Nicholas, Jackson Lyon and Ruben Lee.

Lewis was crowned the 2026 PW50 champion. Hickey secured a clear second in the championship, Morris finished third, Farina Bray fourth, Stephens fifth and Ruben Lee sixth.

Main Track

The final round welcomed a new face in number 292 Rio Dodd, who produced a series of excellent battles with Marley Jobson, Henry Chamley and the leading contenders. Dodd claimed the overall win by three points from Jobson, with Chamley third. Cameron Raynes charged hard for fourth, ahead of Jesse Harman, Blake Thomas, Jimmy Smith, George Kidd, Theo Shears and Leo Dugmore.

Jobson’s dominant season made him the deserved 2026 E3 champion. Raynes took second in the standings and Smith third. Thomas finished fourth by a single point from Chamley, while Santiago Khakbazan completed the championship top six.

The always-action-packed E5 class delivered the closest championship finish of the season. Colby Fletcher, known as Little Fletch, showed superb style on his way to maximum points and the round victory. Tommy Bridges finished second overall ahead of Jimmy Briggs. Theo Hancock was fourth, Harry Perkins fifth, Ruben Williams sixth, Rufus Culliford seventh, Teddy Williams eighth, Elvis Hugh ninth and Ricoh Burke Easton tenth.

Bridges and Hancock entered the final race separated by only four points. Bridges was near the front from the start, while championship leader Hancock initially found himself back in 18th. Hancock charged through the field to reach the top four and, late in the race, appeared to have done enough by running one place behind Bridges.

A late pass from Bridges changed the outcome. The pair completed the championship level on 1,214 points, leaving the title to be decided under the tie-break rule: the rider with the greatest number of first-place finishes, followed by seconds and subsequent placings. Bridges therefore became the 2026 E5 champion. It was a heartbreaking conclusion for Hancock, but both riders can be proud of an extraordinary title contest. Perkins took third in the championship, Teddy Williams fourth and Culliford fifth.

Poppy Birkett was flying again and secured the final-round victory, ahead of Jemmima Tooley, Poppie Randall and Elsie Holmes. Birkett was crowned the 2026 champion, with Tooley second in the standings, 30 points ahead of Randall. William Ahern finished fourth in the championship and Holmes fifth.

50cc Small Wheel

Amiyah Haughton was sensational and unstoppable on her way to a classy maximum-points victory. Tommi Lewis finished second overall, four points ahead of Jacob Perkins. Rex Waldron was fourth and Bobby Nolan fifth, followed by Ajay O’Connor, Logan Thompson, Albie Thornton, Alfie Smith and Edee Paterson.

Haughton completed an exceptional campaign as the 2026 50cc Small Wheel champion. Lewis earned second in the championship, Perkins third, Thompson fourth, Theo Hancock fifth and Hunter Martin sixth.

50cc Big Wheel

Rory Ritzka was seriously on the gas throughout the weekend and won every race for maximum points. Ronnie Dyke was a clear second overall and remained in the mix throughout. Roczen Hickey claimed third by two points from Apollo Newton, followed by Matthew Enright, Layla Enright, Beauden Szpadt, Hunter Martin, Henry Davey and Reuben Grabham.

Charlie Needs had already secured the championship with a round to spare, underlining his dominance during 2026. Newton finished second in the series, Hickey third, Szpadt fourth and Ronnie Evans fifth. Reuben Grabham was sixth, Davey seventh, Mason Cooke eighth and Martin ninth.

65cc MX Youth Championship

The 65cc MX Youth class remained close throughout the weekend. Lewis Tobin eventually took the overall victory by five points from Ellis Owen, with Kaylum Clarke only one further point behind in third. Colby Fletcher finished two points back in fourth after a mechanical problem on Sunday denied him a likely second class victory of the weekend. Freddy Jones took fifth and Oscar Lewis sixth.

Owen’s consistency across the series earned him the 2026 championship. Clarke finished runner-up, with Freddy Jones third and Oscar Lewis fourth. Paisley Cleft took fifth, Mia Jones sixth, Tobin seventh, Rupert Foden eighth, Fletcher ninth and Harper Newton tenth.

65cc MX Youth Wildcards

Louis Odwyer was superb throughout the weekend and collected maximum points in the wildcard group. Osian Davies finished second and Ortus Simons completed the podium in third. Luca Symons took fourth, while Kai Germain secured fifth by two points from Albie Trewartha.

Frankie Hargreaves was the standout performer in E6, taking a maximum-points set of race wins. Oscar Smith rode smoothly to finish second, with Ralphie Stephens third. Neveah Ricers was the clear 2026 champion, followed in the series by Teddy Franklin, Lily Mae Brown, Reuben Hinge and Jesse Nother.

E8 Youth MX

Miles Boucher again made winning look effortless as he dominated the class for maximum points. Joe Robinson took second overall and Ted Tooley third. Boucher was crowned the 2026 E8 champion, with Tooley second and Robinson third in the series.

The series also sends its best wishes to Frank Wallis as he recovers from a broken wrist. His cast is now off, and everyone at EMX Sparks hopes to see him back racing in 2027.

85cc Small Wheel

Preston Chorley was in a class of his own, producing a display of composed racing and winning throughout the weekend for maximum points. Jexten Taylor finished second, Will King third and Noah Brown fourth. Cadi Bradshaw took fifth, Efan Jones sixth and Milo Williams seventh.

Taylor’s superb, all-out racing across the campaign made him the dominant 2026 champion. Bradshaw finished second in the series, followed by Jones, Ethan Evans, Williams, Brown and Arlo Jones.

85cc Big Wheel

Spencer Paterson was in fine form, looking impressive as he swept to a maximum-points round victory. Arthur Trewartha took second overall and Oli Staples third. Presley Pritlove was fourth, Cameron Addis fifth, George Pullen sixth, Kai Churchwood seventh and Macauley Williams eighth.

Staples was crowned the clear 2026 champion, with Addis second. Amiee Needs retained third in the standings despite crashing out on Saturday when she had looked set to challenge for championship runner-up. Everyone at EMX Sparks wishes her a swift recovery. Williams finished fourth in the series, Phoenix Denner fifth, Oli Murphy sixth and Churchwood seventh.

A season to remember

The conclusion of Round 6 brought the curtain down on a fantastic 2026 Amped Bikes EMX Sparks British Masters. Across six rounds, the championship showcased close racing, developing young talent and the commitment of families and teams throughout the paddock.

EMX Sparks thanks every rider, parent, official, marshal, medic, sponsor, venue team member and volunteer who contributed to the series. Their support made the championship possible and helped the series continue to move forward.
Attention now turns to the end-of-season presentation at the Village Hotel Cardiff, Coryton, on Saturday 31 October. The Halloween presentation will celebrate the riders’ achievements before preparations accelerate for the 2027 season.
