Wales confirmed to host 2027 6DAYS® Enduro – It’s coming home

2027 FIM 6DAYS Enduro – Wales

The 2027 FIM International Six Days’ Enduro will take place from 13-18 September, based at the Royal Welsh Showground in Builth Wells, Wales. Approximately 500 competitors from more than 30 countries are expected, joined by team crews, media and spectators from around the world.

Often described as the Olympics of Motorcycling, the event sees riders compete under their national flags in a demanding test of speed, endurance and mechanical skill.

For the host communities, 6DAYS® Wales 2027 will bring an international sporting occasion and an opportunity to showcase the region to visitors from across Europe and beyond.

A historic return to Wales

Wales has a special place in 6DAYS® history, having last hosted the competition in 1983.

More than four decades later, the country’s challenging terrain, spectacular landscapes and passionate off-road motorcycle community will once again provide the backdrop for the world’s leading enduro riders.

Over six demanding days, competitors will tackle hundreds of miles of varied terrain, combining technical special tests with long-distance riding and strict time controls.

Unlike many other forms of motorsport, 6DAYS® competitors must also maintain and repair their own motorcycles within tightly controlled time limits, adding another dimension to an already extraordinary sporting challenge.

For British riders, the return represents a rare opportunity to compete for international honours on home soil, supported by passionate fans from across the UK.

A global celebration of enduro

While the competition will undoubtedly take centre stage, 6DAYS® Wales 2027 promises to be much more than a motorcycle race.

Plans include a vibrant event village, opportunities for spectators to experience the racing, family-friendly activities, local food and drink, and entertainment throughout the event.

The competition will also provide an opportunity to showcase Wales to an international audience, attracting visitors from across Europe and beyond while supporting local accommodation providers, hospitality businesses and the wider tourism economy.

The event will be supported by the Auto-Cycle Union (ACU), working alongside local motorcycle clubs, volunteers, partners and stakeholders to deliver an international competition worthy of its historic significance.

Welsh motorcycle clubs, including Hafren Dirt Bike Club, Dyfed Dirt Bike Club, CWAC Knighton, Builth Wells, WTRA, Saintswell and Rhayader, are expected to play an important role in bringing the event to life, drawing upon decades of local knowledge and experience.

Bringing the world’s best to British soil

The 6DAYS® is unique in international motorcycle sport.

Riders who spend much of the season competing individually come together under their national flags, battling for the prestigious World Trophy, Junior World Trophy and Women’s World Trophy titles.

Alongside the national teams, club riders from around the world will also have the opportunity to take part, making the event a celebration of the sport at every level.

With the eyes of the international enduro community turning towards Wales, the 2027 edition promises to deliver an unforgettable 6DAYS® of competition, national pride and sporting history.

A landmark moment for British enduro

Steve Hall, Operations Director: “Bringing the 6DAYS® back to Great Britain is something the enduro community has wanted for a very long time. This event is part of our sport’s heritage, and to welcome the world’s best riders back to Wales for the 101st edition is incredibly special.

Wales has everything needed to deliver an outstanding 6DAYS®, from its incredible terrain and passionate motorcycle clubs to the people and communities who make this sport what it is.

We want 2027 to be more than just a world-class race. We want it to be a celebration of enduro, an opportunity to showcase Wales to the world and an event that inspires the next generation of riders and fans.”
