Kellett was overcome with emotion at the finish, breaking down in tears as he celebrated his victory after silencing the doubters surrounding his switch to Honda.

“I very rarely cry after a race, but that one meant so much to me. I’ve had so much negativity about this new partnership with Honda, and I have shut everyone up in one race.”

It was a remarkable third consecutive Berck Beach-Cross victory for the British sand racing star, extending his incredible winning streak in the French Sand Racing Championship to ten consecutive victories.

After winning both of his semi-finals, Kellett faced a fierce challenge from his new Honda teammate Cyril Genot in the final. The Belgian briefly took the lead with two laps remaining, but Kellett fought back to secure victory by less than two seconds.

French sand racing specialist Milko Potisek completed the podium, with Hakon Fredriksen fourth and Weymouth Beach Race winner Adrien Petit fifth.

There was further British success in the Quad class, where Harry Walker finished runner-up behind Belgian winner Randy Naveaux, who claimed victory in both races.

Fellow British Championship contender Mark McLernon finished 11th, while Dafydd Davies placed 24th.

In the solo category, Chambers Racing KTM’s Dan Thornhill finished 24th in the final, with fellow Brit Sion Talbot taking 26th.

The event attracted more than 1,000 entries and over 50,000 spectators across the weekend, providing a spectacular start to the French sand racing season.

The championship now heads to Loon-Plage for the Ronde des Sables on 7–8 November, where Kellett will look to continue his remarkable winning run.
