Mewse, a former world Junior champion who is now age 27, has been a central figure in the team’s success. The rider from Shepton Mallet has established himself as one of Britain’s leading 450 motocross riders through his exceptional speed, determination and relentless desire to win.

His departure comes after a triumphant 2026 season in which he secured the British MX1 championship for the third time to add to his three MX2 titles. He also clinched the Plews Masters series, providing a fitting finale to his time with the Honda squad.

Throughout his time with Crendon Tru7 Honda, Mewse has demonstrated the talent, professionalism and commitment required to compete at the highest level. His spectacular riding style and never-say-die attitude have made him a favourite with fans, while his dedication behind the scenes has earned the admiration of everyone involved with the team.

Team manager Ryan Thorpe paid tribute to the departing champion. “It’s been a real pleasure working with Conrad and watching what he’s achieved with us. He’s an incredibly talented rider who gives absolutely everything whenever he gets on the bike. We’ve shared some fantastic moments, and seeing him win the British MX1 title this year was a brilliant reward for all the hard work. Everyone in the team is proud of what we’ve accomplished together, and we wish him every success in the next chapter of his career.”

Team principal Dave Thorpe also praised Mewse’s contribution to the team’s achievements. “Conrad is a special talent and he’s been a tremendous ambassador for Crendon Tru7 Honda. Winning championships takes more than outright speed. It requires dedication, resilience and the ability to deliver under pressure, and Conrad has shown those qualities time and again. We’re delighted to have played a part in his career and to have celebrated another British championship together. He leaves with our thanks, respect and very best wishes.”

Neil Fletcher, Head of Racing and Development at Honda Europe, said: “I’d like to add my thanks to Conrad for his outstanding achievements with the team. We have high expectations at Honda and he has lived up to them from start to finish. It was perfect to sign off with a dominant British Championship win. Everyone at Honda Racing wishes Conrad the very best wishes for the future.”

Although Mewse’s departure marks the end of an important chapter, Crendon Tru7 Honda remains immensely proud of the success they have enjoyed together. The team would like to thank Conrad for his outstanding contribution, his commitment to everyone involved and the memories he has helped create. Thank you, Conrad – and congratulations once again, champion!

As the team looks forward to next season as the 17th consecutive year as Honda UK’s fully supported motocross squad, an announcement will be made soon over the line-up for 2027.
