The Patchquick Trophy is one of the most prestigious and historic motocross events in the UK, with a legacy dating back to 1934. Donated by the Patchquick Tyre Company of Tiverton, the trophy was originally valued at 100 guineas and is now estimated to be worth around £20,000. It is considered the largest trophy in British motocross.

In recent years it has been run on a Wednesday evening in June by South West Off Road at Little Silver MX near Exeter on behalf of the West of England Motor Club with Conrad Mewse taking the title in 2024, but today SWOR said in a statement on the Patchquick Trophy social Media pages that, “We regret to inform you that, due to circumstances out of our control, the South West Off Road (SWOR) will not be running the Patchquick Trophy for 2025 on behalf of West of England Motor Club.”

The West of England Motor Club reiterated that the event will not be running this year by posting, “Preempting the question, we can confirm that the event will not run in 2025 but will be reviewed for future years.”

Being West Country-based, the Patchquick Trophy has been an event we have covered since we started, and we hope it can be resurrected in the future.
