The LRT Racing Yamaha team fielded three riders at Bevercotes during round one of the 2026 AMCA British Motocross Championship: team owner Simon Lane, young Tyler Lane and new boy Jordan Wright. And it was Wright who was to produce the glory by bagging a superb 2nd overall in the 125cc Championship class. Showing plenty of pace and style, Jordan was always in contention right at the front of the pack, posting 2/3/3/3 in what was a very impressive debut.

After breaking his pelvis following a crash at Hawkstone Park last July, Simon Lane was having his first race meeting since that accident. The boss started at Bevercotes with an 8th place, then recorded further 7th and 8th spots. In a very wet final moto, Simon then got home in 6th for an eventual 4th overall in the Over 50’s Vets class. Simon will surely be relatively happy with his round one performance following his lengthy break from racing!

Tyler Lane was contesting the highly competitive Clubman Seniors class, taking an eventual 13th overall. Switching between his 125cc two-stroke and 250F Yamaha, he battled gamely on, posting 17/23/23 places before enjoying a very impressive last moto. In that one and with conditions at their worst, Tyler scored a great 7th spot.
The team are now busy preparing for round two of the AMCA series, which is due to take place at Bromsberrow this coming weekend, April 25th and 26th.
