Chinese motorcycle manufacturer JHL will make its MXGP debut at this weekend’s Oriental Beauty Valley MXGP of China in Shanghai, with seven riders entered across the MXGP and MX2 classes.
The one-off wildcard appearance comes just weeks before the first JHL-built machines are expected to arrive in the UK, where they will be distributed by Dualways under the 10Ten Powered by JHL name.
JHL makes MXGP debut in China
JHL Factory Racing will not contest the full 2027 MXGP season, with its appearance in Shanghai a one-off wildcard at its home Grand Prix. German rider Brian Hsu will race the JHL LX350R in MXGP. The 28-year-old was born in Germany, raised in Taiwan, is now based in Cremona, Italy, and speaks fluent Mandarin. Rather than targeting a particular result, the Shanghai outing will give JHL the opportunity to run the LX350R on a World Championship track against the factory machinery competing in MXGP. Hsu will be joined in MXGP by Yuzhang Li, while JHL has five riders entered in MX2.

Founded in 2021, JHL (Chongqing Junchi Motorcycle Co., Ltd.) will become the first official Chinese factory team to compete in the premier class at its home MXGP. The manufacturer says it uses data gathered through competition to develop its production motorcycles, with its range covering youth pit bikes, water-cooled competition machines and dual-sport models. JHL machinery uses components from suppliers including D.I.D, KYB and Bosch, with the company also working with European chassis engineering partners.
10Ten Powered by JHL coming to the UK
JHL has partnered with UK distributor Dualways, which will sell the off-road range in Britain under the 10Ten Powered by JHL name. Eleven models will make up the initial UK range, starting with the 70cc SK70 Mini Auto at £799 including VAT.
The range progresses through youth, pit bike and fun-bike machinery to full-size off-road models, including the LX250R four-stroke and TLX300 two-stroke. Dualways lists the LX250R at 42bhp, while the TLX300 is quoted at 48bhp. Both are priced at £4,499 including VAT and feature liquid cooling, Bosch electronic fuel injection and race-spec suspension components.

The first production machines are already on their way to the UK and are expected to arrive in 10Ten dealerships in October.
JHL’s MXGP debut takes place at the Oriental Beauty Valley MXGP of China on Sunday 13th September at the Haiwan Outdoor Sports Field in Shanghai.
