Jeffrey Herlings – Plenty of work to do!

Jeffrey Herlings admitted on his Instagram page that he “just wanted to go home safe” from the weekend’s MXGP of Patagonia-Argentina, where the Red Bull KTM rider looked far from his best, finishing the moto’s in eighth and seventh for eighth overall.

The Dutchman trails Red plate holder Jorge Prado by 22 points going into Round 2, which takes in Spain on the 24th of March.

His full statement on Instagram said:

“Just a terrible weekend result wise with P8 🇦🇷, the track was unbelievable sketchy, I saw many riders go off on stretchers, and I didn’t take any risk and just wanted to go home safe as there are 57 moto’s to go. But we definitely have plenty of work to do to be fighting for podium spots. 🤷‍♂️ Let’s go home, regroup and try to better at the next race.”
