Dirt Hub: Do you have a Pre-Race Playlist you listen too, and if so name a couple of tracks that are on it?

Alex: I quite like Aj Tracey he has some good pre-race tunes which I like… Rina & Butterflies are two good songs of his. I quite like a bit of 2009/10 tunes from Rihanna & Akon also haha.

DH: When was the last time you cried?

Alex: I think it was after hurting myself at the French GP, was just sat in a french hospital disappointed with myself!

DH: What is your favourite inspirational quote?

Alex: A champion doesn’t win on his good days, only on his bad days.

DH: Do you have any weird suspicions or pre-race rituals?

Alex: I used to have a thing of wearing one black & one white boot when I was younger? also making sure I put my right sock on the left and left on the right I don’t know why?. But I don’t now, I just go and ride lol.

DH: What drives you most to get up in the morning and go training?

Alex: To reach my goals really. I don’t like losing much! When I do have that good ride/ win it means a lot to me. Also, I like proving people wrong & showing that I can do it.

DH: If you didn’t race what sport would you play or take part in?

Alex: I’d probably say football as I got to quite a good level when I was younger and could’ve done quite well! But obviously, racing has always been the number 1.

DH: What is your biggest Phobia?

Alex: Heights I can be afraid of depending on the situation? also I hate the dark like walking downstairs and it’s pitch black I just don’t like it have to turn a light pretty quickly lol.?

DH: Who is your biggest sporting idol and why?

Alex: James Stewart, since I was young just loved everything he did, doubt you’ll see anyone ride a motorcycle like him again. Also, enduro wise Juha Salminen & Paul Edmondson where two guys who I thought were technically awesome growing up.

DH: Where do you see yourself in five years time?

Alex: I’d like to say if I keep training hard I’d like to have a factory enduro ride that’s what the goal is and I feel I can do it so why not.

DH: What is your all-time favourite movie?

Alex: The Goonies, all the family love it.

DH: Who has had the biggest impact on your career?

Alex: My Mum & Dad, I wouldn’t be where I am without them. They do a lot for me, also all my family have played a part in helping me over the years so I am very grateful for what everyone has done for me!

DH: What is your philosophy on life?

Alex: To never give up & keep trying all the time then good things will happen! Also, enjoy life with your friends & family.
