Apico Husqvarna closes it doors after tough 2023 season!
After nine years at the sharp end of British Motocross, Apico Husqvarna has closed its doors after a tough 2023 season.
It’s not all doom and gloom, with Team Owner Dylan Brown saying, “Its not the end for the team, but we will have a different look, with new colours and the same passion and desire.”
Being one of the most professional set-ups in the British paddock, the team will be sadly missed, so hopefully, their new project will be just as good.

“Firstly, I’d like to thank you all for your support this year and many of you for all the seasons we’ve had with the Apico Husqvarna Team. Competing at the top level of British Motocross isn’t easy, your help is appreciated. However, time has come to close the doors on the Apico Husqvarna workshop.
The efforts to run the team from Anna and I are significant, from the hours I spend maintaining the race bikes, to race days through to this very press release you are reading right now. I would like to think we’re one of the teams in the British paddock that present your products well. Not only at the racing but through all our marketing channels too.
This year has had more lows than highs with Jack Lindsay, our MX2 rider badly breaking his leg at the very first round of the championship. This left us as a one rider team for all competitions. Martin also picked up injuries after a crash at Blaxhall, which resulted in missing a round of the MX Nationals & British Motocross Championship.
Martin Barr finished a respectable 6th in the MX1 Class at the Michelin MX Nationals and 14th in the British Championship. These results somewhat reflect the tough season Martin has endured, but that’s racing. We still managed to fit in the Apico 2 Stroke Festival, VMXdN Foxhills and the Arenacross Tour and still have the British GP and MXoN to compete in, where Martin has been the number one choice for Team Ireland once again.
Over the past nine years we have had a lot of success, Steven Clarke EMX250 Champion, 2nd Overall British Championship. Bry McKenzie 3rd Overall British Championship, Jamie Law 4th Overall British Championship, Stu Edmonds British Open 2 Stroke Champion, Multiple top ten championship finishes and a straight 5th,6th 7th Weston Beach Race for Law, Burrows & Edmonds and not forgetting multiple MXoN for Ireland.
Anna and I would like to personally thank the following for the contributions to the team over the past nine years, Steven Clarke, Bry McKenzie, Zander Brown, Kristian Whatley, Matt Burrows, Jack Lindsay, Stu Edmonds, Jamie Law, Martin Barr & Zac Stealey for all their efforts on track. Scott Cannon, Josh Owen, Mark Southwick for all the bits in between, James Martin, Allistar Holland, Dave Russell & Ian Marshall for their time on the spanners, Karen & Mike Law for providing the team food and entertainment and all the rider families.
Its not the end for the team, but we will have a different look, with new colours and the same passion and desire.
We look forward to 2024 and the new changes, but now its time to say Thanks again for your support and farewell to Apico Husqvarna.
