The team is made up by 3 riders; Ryan Crowder, Leonni Tighe and Aaron Crowder on board their John Shirt Motorcycles 250F GasGas. They will mainly be focusing on the ACU British Enduro Championship & ACU British Sprint Championship, along with a possible selection of other events such as the Welsh Open Sprint Championship and a few hare and hound races.
Ryan Crowder will be leading the charge for the team, moving up from the expert class to championship this season where he will be riding in the E1 Category.
Here’s what he had to say about the season ahead:
“I’m really looking forward to this year on the new GasGas machine. Moving up to the Championship class is going to be tough, but after a solid season in the Experts and mixing it most weekends with the Championship riders times I can’t wait to get stuck in.
“Coming from Motocross, last year was a big learning curve for me on how the timecards work and the type of venues they use. I’m hoping this year with the correct training, I can put in some solid results and most of all have fun along the way.”
Next up we have Leonnie Tighe, Coming off the back of a great season in 2021 taking home the Ladies ACU British Sprint Enduro Championship title.
“I can’t wait to get this year on the way. I have moved up to the GasGas 250f bike from the 150 and I love the way it feels so far. From racing Motocross I was always on four stroke bikes so I felt right at home straight away.
“Last year was my first season doing the BEC’s and British sprint series so coming into 2022 I feel a lot more prepared with my riding & fitness.” – Leonni Tighe
Rounding out the team is the man behind ACE Suspension, Arron Crowder. After a brief exit from the sport, he found the love back for riding with enduro and his race results definitely showed. After a strong 2nd place in the ACU British Sprint Enduro Championship in ‘21 it’ll be exciting to see if he can take home the Veteran title in 2022.
“After years of doing Motocross I thought I’d hung my boots up but after getting into the Enduro scene with Ryan & Leonni I have dusted them off and enjoy being back on a bike.
“What started off with just getting a bike to do the odd play days turned into signing up for the British Vets sprint series and getting the buzz back for racing after 7 years off.
“I was like a kid at Christmas seeing the new ace suspension gasgas bikes all done up ready for the 2022 season. Can’t wait to get back out racing!” – Aaron Crowder
Massive thanks to everyone that’s helping out our ACE suspension team this year.
