Year out for ScotMX in 2023!

Since Stuart Flockhart and Louise Kerr, and the team at ScotMX took over the running of the SACU Scottish Motocross Championship, the sport in Scotland has gone from strength to strength, but in an open and honest post on their Facebook page, they have revealed that they will be taking a year out in 2023.

We wish Stuart and Louise all of the best for the future, and we look forward to covering their fantastic events again in 2024.

The 2022 ScotMX official Scottish Motocross Championship Powered by Milwaukee and on behalf of the Scottish Auto Cycle Union , was another awesomely unforgettable race season ! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Tackling 6 of our best circuits from north to south and east to west , we some how aced it again with glorious sunshine at each round and this year for a first time also managed to achieve a new highest level of entry numbers , maintaining more than 200 in every round through 2022 🔥

In only 4 years of ScotMX Events , we are very proud of the progress made in raising the level of professionalism for our wonderful sport under SACU at the national championship level .

I must however make this difficult announcement that Louise and I will be taking next year out , due to personal circumstances , and ScotMX will not be able to organise the Scottish Motocross Championships for SACU in 2023 .

The SACU , our great sponsors , and our fantastic ScotMX team , have been a great support in understanding this difficult decision and we do look forward to working with them again in the future .

We appreciate this will be sad news to our loyal ScotMX racers and supporters , however we trust you can understand that we need this time out as family comes first .
