After months of preparation, Team GB will compete across the 125cc, 85cc and 65cc classes, taking on more than 280 riders from 40 nations at one of the biggest events on the junior motocross calendar. With Great Britain finishing third in the team standings in both 2024 and 2025, the squad will be aiming to challenge for another podium finish against the world’s best young talent.
The riders have been carefully selected by Team GB management duo Mark Chamberlain and Stephen Sword, who once again lead the British challenge.

Mark, who is now responsible for the running of both the Junior and Senior Team GB motocross squads after the ACU created a unified national motocross programme, admitted selecting the final line-up was no easy task.
“It’s never easy picking Team GB riders, but we’ve chosen what we feel are the five best riders in each class to try and secure the best results possible.
“There were some difficult decisions to make and some very good riders won’t be joining us on this occasion. Unfortunately, that’s the nature of the beast.
“With those that have been selected, I think we’ve got a very good chance of being in the mix, and they should be very proud that they’ve been given the chance to represent their country and their national federation in the ACU.”

The FIM Junior Motocross World Championship crowns individual world champions in the 125cc, 85cc and 65cc classes, while the combined results from all three categories determine the overall team standings.
Great Britain has yet to lift the coveted team title but has finished on the podium in each of the last two editions, and Chamberlain believes the hard-pack circuit at MX-Enduro Park Jinín could suit the British riders.
“Jinín is a track that’s known for its demanding, hard-packed, natural terrain and technical character. I think it should be good for our guys so we’re hoping for a good outcome.”
With the opening practice sessions beginning on Saturday before Sunday’s championship races, Team GB will be hoping to continue its recent success and perhaps take another step towards becoming Junior Motocross World Champions.
