The 2025 Scottish Motocross Championship sprung into life at Tain at the weekend. Conrad Mewse in MX1 and Charlie Heyman in MX2 were among the big winners at an event that attracted a fantastic entry throughout the classes.

Mewse, onboard his Crendon Tru7 Honda, was in stunning form and stormed to victories by huge margins in both motos ahead of the second-place finisher, Tristan Purdon, on his SC Sporthomes Husqvarna. Local hero Ben Edwards rode a stormer, going 3-3 for third overall. Apico Honda’s Martin Barr claimed fourth overall, ahead of reigning champ Brad Todd in fifth.
Heyman, also onboard an SC Sporthomes Husqvarna, went 1-1 as well, keeping ahead of the fast-looking Glenn McCormick, who followed up his great result at the Hawkstone International with Second overall. Max Harris impressed everyone with a stunning second in moto one backed up by a fifth in race two which would land him a superb third overall and a well deserved spot on the podium. Richard Mckeown finished the day in fourth with Lennox Dickinson in fifth.

In the 2 Stroke classes it was Andrew Pohlen with the victory in the 150 category ahead of Ryan Haddow in second and Ewan Campbell in third, while in the 2 Stroke Open Ryan Thompson maxed out for the win ahead of the aforementioned Mckeown and Frazer Norrie.
Over in the Autos Ellik Miller took the chequers in all three motos to take the victory over Oliver Fenton and Rhys Walker. Finlee Pope was another to rattle off a full set of three wins in the Junior 65 category for the top step of the podium, being flanked by Cameron Berry in second and Aidan Anton in third.

The Small Wheel 85s saw Ricky Barrack claim the number one spot ahead of Zak Hendry and Ty Simpson. Malachi Allan powered to victory in the Big Wheel 85s, fending off Alfie Lawrie and Kian McGill.
Bobby Burns headed home the field in the Youth 125 class with Liam Bell in second and Robbie Scott in third. Rhys Whyment was on fire in the Youth 250s and took the win over Matt Fernley and Ryan Connor.
In the Vets, the Top spots went to George Stewart in the over-40s, Richard Miller in the over-50s, and Ian John William Wilson in the over-60s.
Joshua McCorkell triumphed in the stacked Adult B class, with Andrew Pohlen second and Jamie Clarke third. In the Adult C class, Charlie McCann was the victor, ahead of Logan Adsley and Samuel Logan.
