The Full statement from the team is as follows:

“After putting no less than 8 titles in the bag for FUS we have to reluctantly announce that Luke Burton will be leaving the team and
moving to pastures new for the 2023 season.

Luke has always been an integral and very important member of the FUS family, with us right from the early days when the team was born. Always giving us total dedication and commitment, he is a total professional in his motocross work, a fact confirmed by his fantastic results.

Starting in 2015 with an AMCA MX2 title, he’s added 3x MX1 crowns, 1 X Superclass and another MX2 success in 2018. Adding to that very impressive haul are also IMBA European Championship wins in both the MX1 and MX2 divisions.

So we would like to thank Luke for his fantastic efforts to the cause throughout his time at FUS and wish him the very best of luck in his future racing. In 2023 he intends to move back up the motocross ladder and try his luck at ACU Revo British Championship and MX Nationals Fastest 40 events.

For FUS it’s going to be a new chapter with the news that Jake Shipton is also leaving the team after just one season. Jake wants to spend more time with his family and so will only be riding in selected events during 2023. So as Luke and Jake departs, we will shortly be welcoming new riders into the team, keep watching for the details to come!”
