Sherco Racing Factory’s Steve Holcombe has rounded out round four of the 2026 EnduroGP World Championship in winning form, securing a well-deserved victory in the Enduro3 class in Fafe, Portugal.
· Enduro3 victory and EnduroGP podium on day two
· Steve’s weekend started with third in Friday’s Super Test
· EnduroGP remains in Fafe for round five next weekend
Holcombe got his weekend underway with an impressive third-place result in Friday evening’s Super Test, with just fractions of a second separating the leading riders around the spectacular Fafe course.

Carrying his good form into Saturday, the Brit immediately established himself among the frontrunners in the dry and dusty Portuguese conditions. Running a close second overall and leading Enduro3 for much of the day, Steve looked set for a strong result aboard his Sherco 300 SE. However, on the final lap a technical issue ended his charge and forced him out of the results.

Determined to bounce back on Sunday, Holcombe spent much of the day running inside the top six overall in another tightly contested battle. Gradually increasing his pace as conditions became rougher, he moved into fifth overall on the final lap. Locked in a close fight for Enduro3 honours throughout the day, Steve delivered when it mattered most and posted the second-fastest time on the final test of the weekend. Steve’s late charge elevated him to third overall in EnduroGP and secured victory in Enduro3.

Following four rounds of competition, Holcombe remains fourth in the EnduroGP standings despite the setback of Saturday’s no-score, and with three rounds remaining he continues to close in on third overall. In Enduro3, the championship battle remains incredibly tight with Steve sitting third, just nine points from second place and 14 points from the class.
The 2026 FIM EnduroGP World Championship continues with the GP of Portugal II in Fafe, Portugal, on June 19-21.
Steve Holcombe: “This first weekend in Portugal has been a rollercoaster to say the least. The Super Test went pretty well for me and gave me a good starting position for the weekend. Day one was mostly positive too, I felt like I was riding well and was in the fight for the win throughout the day. Unfortunately, just before the final special test we had a technical issue. I tried everything I could to fix it, but in the end, I missed the time control by two seconds and that was the end of the day for us. The team did an incredible job to get the bike ready again for Sunday. Day two didn’t start perfectly after a crash in the first enduro test cost me a lot of time, but I felt like I improved as the day went on. The final lap went really well and to come away with an EnduroGP podium and the Enduro3 win was a great way to finish the weekend. The conditions were tough all weekend. The rain helped the grip early on Sunday, but once the ground dried out it quickly became rough and dusty again. I feel good with where we’re at and I’m looking forward to getting back out there next weekend.”
