Elgin Ready! 2025 Scottish Motocross Championship Round 3 - Preview & Event info!

In MX1 Crendon Tru7 Honda’s Conrad Mewse unsurprisingly has been a dominant force, but don’t forget last year he had his only domestic race defeat (Jeffrey Herlings aside) in the Scottish Champs by SC Sporthomes Husqvarna’s Tristan Purdon, who will be going all out to replicate that feat again this weekend.  Reigning Champion Brad Todd holds second in the championship, but only by a point over the impressive Ben Edwards, who has been one of the standout performers so far this year.

Apico Factory Racing’s Martin Barr is close to fourth and will look to make ground on the lead trio, as will Jason Meara, Ross Rutherford and Carlton Husband. Lewis Hall could be a spoiler, too.

Over in MX2, current champ Charlie Heyman has been in sublime form on his SC Sporthomes Husqvarna, and he will take some stopping again in Elgin. His biggest challenge will likely come from Max Harris, who has been superb so far this year, Glenn McCormick, Lennox Dickinson, and a whole heap of others.

There is also loads of other racing over the weekend, including the Youth and 2 Strokes classes on Saturday and the Vets and Adult B and C classes running alongside the Pro classes on Sunday.
