Bobby Bruce has revealed that after “a tough two years”, he has undergone surgery on his ACL and that he will be racing MX1 in the 2026 ACU British Motocross and Scottish Motocross Championship alongside other selected events.
After high hopes of being a front runner in EMX250 with the Bike it Kawasaki team, and winning round one of the British at Hawkstone Park in MX2, an injury in France, where he tweaked his knee, set him back further than he would have hoped, and he had to call time on his season.
Now Bobby will look to rejuvenate his career riding under his own awning on a 450 Honda, and will be a surefire podium contender in the MX1 class.
Bobby’s full social media post about his plans is below:
After a tough two years of racing that had many ups and downs and injuries , I took the decision to have ACL reconstruction on the 11th of August. I wanted to take this opportunity to thank everyone that supported me over the past year.
After turning 21 this year and looking at my future in racing I have taken the decision to race MX1 British championship and MX1 Scottish championship and selected other races for 2026. The recovery from my ACL operation is going very well, I will look to being back on the bike in December.
I am in the process of building my financial and product sponsors for next season, I will keep you all update with that progress and look forward to sharing some riding footage and images early in the new year.
I would like to first thank SP Landscapes and Nap construction for my two training bikes , i can’t wait to start riding them
