Billy Bolt to race at EnduroGP of Wales

Anticipation for EnduroGP of Wales continues to build, with Billy Bolt now confirmed as a wildcard entry for the 2026 event.

Taking place from 6th – 9th August at Cwmythig Hill MX and Saintswell Enduro Centre, near Rhayader, the Welsh round will host the final stop of the 2026 FIM EnduroGP World Championship, with Bolt’s addition bringing even more excitement to what is already shaping up to be a standout weekend in Mid Wales.

One of the biggest names in modern off-road racing, Billy Bolt arrives in Wales as an eight-time World Champion and one of Britain’s most accomplished riders. The Husqvarna Factory Racing star has built his reputation on explosive speed, commitment and exceptional bike control, becoming a standout figure on the world stage across superenduro, hard enduro and enduro. Now, with a home crowd behind him, he is set to bring that same intensity to EnduroGP of Wales.

For fans, it is a rare chance to see Bolt take on the EnduroGP format on British soil, going up against some of the sport’s biggest names – including Josep Garcia, Andrea Verona, Steve Holcombe, Brad Freeman and Nathan Watson – at one of the biggest weekends on the UK off-road calendar.

Adam Rees, Event Director, said: “This is a massive moment for EnduroGP of Wales. Billy Bolt is one of the biggest names in off-road racing and to have him coming to Wales as a wildcard is incredibly exciting.
He’s a rider the fans love, he brings real energy wherever he goes, and his presence adds something extra to an event that was already building towards a huge championship finale. We know the crowd will get right behind him and it’s going to create a brilliant atmosphere.”

Billy Bolt said, “It’s been a few years since I last competed in an EnduroGP round because I’ve been so focused on SuperEnduro and Hard Enduro, but I’ve wanted to do something like this again for a while. It’s a good chance to mix things up, have a crack at something different and give something back to the fans. The support’s always been unreal, so doing something like this at home is class. It sounds like it’s going to be a mega weekend, so I’m buzzing to be part of it.”

That means EnduroGP of Wales will not only welcome one of Britain’s biggest off-road stars to the start line, but also stage a huge championship finale as the 2026 season reaches its closing chapter. From the moment the gates open on Thursday and the opening ceremony parade rolls through Rhayader, the event is set to build into a full-scale celebration of enduro, with Friday’s Akrapovič SuperTest setting the tone before two full days of racing unfold across Cwmythig and Saintswell on Saturday and Sunday. Add in the paddock atmosphere, food and drink, live music from Luke Combs UK and Landraver, the late bar and the huge Sunday after party, and EnduroGP of Wales is shaping up to be one of the standout weekends of the summer

With Billy Bolt now added to the line-up, EnduroGP of Wales is building towards a thrilling August weekend – one that will bring together homegrown heroes, world championship drama and the very best riders in the sport.
