Motocross & Speedway Memories in association with promoters Lee Ashby & Kevin Wheeler, & happy to say also in association with the BSMA are hosting their Battle of Britain Motocross at the Landrake Moto Park on the 21st and 22nd of October 2023.
The event has Adult and Youth classes so is pretty much catering for everyone.
Here are the terms & conditions, that are subject to change at any time, below: Entries are for:
Dates of 21/22 of October 2023 to be at Landrake Moto Park in Saltash. Post code: PL12 5EP. All booking in with Lee Ashby only by message on social media or by text/what’s app on 07764978839.
1. Once paid race entry fee, we will only refund you if we can replace you before the end of the cut off date. But it is non refundable at all for any reason after the 21st of September 2023. 1 month before the event. If the event is cancelled for any unforeseen reason, your entry will carry over to the rescheduling date.
2. Transponders are needed for all riders, as all groups will be timed, either for gate position in set groups, or for qualifying in the battle of Britain groups, to end up being in right groups after qualifying in our 4 groups of the Battle of Britain and of course transponders are for race results and overalls. Plus can see individual laps times etc. Which will be live on My Laps app all weekend for worldwide access. Which will be superb and great for the live commentary too. This will be run by the BSMA who are running our race meeting side. You will let me know your transponder number on booking in, or if you need to hire one let me know for now. They will only be £10 to hire too that is paid to me too. And on booking in for your transponder at signing on, you either need a driving licence or bank card left, as a deposit, & then when the transponder is returned end of the weekends racing, it will be returned.

4. This event will be run under BSMA licences. So those with BSMA licences just need to show them at signing on. Anyone without a BSMA license will need to buy a temporary day licence on the BSMA website before the event. The cost for the weekend temporary license is £10. EVERYONE must sign on including, track Marshalls, any photographers listed or media will need to sign on, and to be trackside for media, must have public liability insurance and show proof of that when sign on too.
5. It will be free for spectator entry, and free camping all weekend too.
6. Race entry fee is £110 for Vets & Battle of Britain groups A-D, & for youth 125/250 classes for each rider for the whole race weekend. £90 for Bw/Sw 85cc. £80 for juniors 65cc. £70 autos 50cc. This must be paid on booking in with me, by either bank transfer or PayPal. You can enter more than one group, and be in two different groups eligible for, but this will mean need to pay for both entry fees still. And I will try to keep them groups with a gap once I check how many double riders, nearer time when do race schedule. Possible one day bookings could be done, but message me on that.
7. I will want to know the group your entering, race number your after, and if hiring a transponder, and what your transponder number is if using own one. For the Battle of Britain 4 groups, all them groups riders will need to be different race numbers, as be in random groups book into before qualifying to race.
8. All riders will be given rider wristbands at the signing on, and will be checked at the peg box area to confirm your signed on to race. ALL riders must have them on.
9. All races to count for overall result. Timed practice for all groups. All set groups be for your starting positions for race 1. And for the ‘Battle of Britain’ 4x groups will be qualifying to see which group your in on speed A-D. So be Battle of Britain A, Battle of Britain B and so on. From timed practice in your random groups been booked into. Also there will be a big timing screen from the BSMA for spectators/mechanics, family and friends to watch the times live too and done by satellite too, so even a pass in a race will show up. So be cool for qualifying to check. Also be a digital clock at finish line for timed practice. So can see how long is left in qualifying Be 2 laps sighting in practice, then 12 mins of timed qualifying. Then 2 races each Saturday. Then each race result is where your be on start picks for next race.
Sunday: 2x sighting laps of practice, then straight to start line for your 1st race of Sunday. Next group will be in peg area waiting for their sighting Laps once that race is off. And be 2 races each Sunday too. Race running schedules and race times, etc will be announced further down the line too. 10. Groups which could be open to change if needed, can have 40 riders max in each group are allowed.
11. Ages with the BSMA licensed groups are as follows: Auto 50cc 6-8 years old. 65cc Juniors 7-10 years old. Small wheel 85cc 9-
12 years old. Big wheel 85cc 11-15 years old. Youth 125/250 13-17 years old. Vets over 40 any bike. Battle of Britain classes any age from 15 years old and up as all adult.
12. Groups we are running below: And could be subject to change if needed. Vets Over 40. Any bike. Battle of Britain: Any bike. Any riders. But all be timed qualifying in your random groups booked into, to end up in right ability class. Any riders purposely riding slow in qualifying, to be in a easier group, will be ousted out on the race commentary be warned Battle of Britain: A, B, C. Youth 125/250 scored together as one group. Bw/Sw 85cc (scored separately) 65cc Juniors 50cc Autos (could ride with 65cc if not the numbers, but scored separately)
13. Timetable: entry to venue will be from Friday 20th October, times for this be announced in due course. Signing on will be on Friday in day/evening and early Saturday morning, times for that will be announced as well. Timed qualifying to start 8.45am sharp Saturday morning, and then 9am start Sunday morning with first group out for sighting laps, then straight back to start gate for your first race of Sunday.
Top 5 overall from each class will receive trophies. And on podiums top 3 with drink to spray. For adults. Top 7 overall from the vets class and the 3x Battle of Britain groups, plus the youth 125/250 class, plus 5 promoters picks, will race in a super final to finish off the weekend.

The groups will also go off line at different times to give the slower classes a head start in the final. So group d goes off then 5/10 secs, group C, then B, vets and youth 125-250 then group A!
So instead of it being obvious someone will win from fastest group A in final, they will have to pass the whole field to win it!!! should be fun! We also will have all catering covered. Plus a bar and music etc too. And stuff for the kids inflatables and catering for them.
