Etchells & Holmes rule in Yorkshire! 2026 EnduroGB Rounds 3 & 4 - Report & Results

Jed Etchells and Nieve Holmes dominated their respective ACU EnduroGB Elite and Elite Women categories as the Rieju Yorkshire Enduro hosted rounds three and four of the 2026 series at the weekend (30-31 May).

The market town of Helmsley in North Yorkshire provided the headquarters for the event that marked a return to a traditional timecard enduro format and featured relentless liaison sections, challenging terrain, and two demanding special tests that challenged both rider and machine on Saturday and Sunday.

The dry and sunny conditions brought plenty of smiles in the paddock, but they also gave way to some of the toughest racing conditions of the season so far. Dust, rough terrain, and increasingly demanding tests ensured there was no let-up from start to finish as competitors battled through the Yorkshire countryside.

At the sharp end of the field, Jed Etchells (pictured above) delivered a near-perfect performance on his Moto-Fit Racing Sherco machine to secure Elite victory on both days. He was 33.55s clear of Jack Edmondson (PAR Homes KTM Enduro Team) at round three, and then 7.61s ahead at round four on Sunday.

Jack finished second overall on both days to continue his strong start to the season, while Alex Walton (Par Homes TM UK) completed the podium on both days. He was 25.46s behind Jack on Saturday and just over a minute in arrears a day later.

Jack Frost Enduro winner and early championship leader Jamie McCanney had a frustrating time in Yorkshire. The Triumph Racing star failed to make it to the end of Saturday’s test after sustaining a knee injury and he didn’t reappear to take the start on Sunday either.

In the Elite Women category, reigning British Champion Neive Holmes (ET James Sherco UK) continued her excellent form as she took victory on Saturday by 38.63s and on Sunday by 34.65s. Second place overall went to Rosie Rowett (Rieju Factory), while Elizabeth Tett (TM Moto) was third on both days in Yorkshire.

Across the classes, Connor Watson (GASGAS) emerged as the overall Expert winner, beating Kris Price into second place on Saturday and Tomos Jones in to the same position on Sunday. Richard Ely (Dirtstore Triumph Enduro Racing Team) was untouchable in the Expert Vet Over 35 category as he romped home in first place on both days.

Josh Lister (Husqvarna) took a pair of Clubman wins at Helmsley. Although he beat closest challenger Scott Altass (KTM) by 29.01s on day one, the gap was much smaller on day two as Lister took the nod by only 4.07s.

Will Atkinson (Husqvarna) and Bailey Holmes (Yamaha) went toe-to-toe for Clubman Youth victory, but it was Atkinson who took the spoils after two days of tough riding. Holmes was a strong second, while Elliot Tenant (Beta) and Max Lampkin (Beta) shared the third step of the podium across the two days.

Ceri Wyn Jones (GASGAS) added to her Clubman Women championship lead with a pair of wins in Yorkshire, while Shane Tasker (KTM) emerged as the top performer in the Clubman over 40 class, and Triumph rider Karl Greenall secured the bragging rights in Clubman over 50.

After two rounds of fierce competition, Helmsley once again proved why it’s regarded as the perfect setting for an EnduroGB event – with a great route and strong organising team behind the scenes.

With rounds three and four now complete, attention shifts to the upcoming rounds on the Isle of Man (4-5 July).
