Arenacross Support Classes prepare for Aberdeen!

The Pro-Am and Youth riders have been digging into their pockets for the fuel money, heading to Aberdeen right now for the next two nights of Arenacross action – and the Championships are hard-fought with surprises aplenty across the board!

At the top of the Pro-Am Championship, it’s those Welsh wonders Sion Talbot and Josh Greedy who are inseparable again at the top of the table!  They finished 2023 a point apart after Talbot took the verdict in the very last race, and this year he kindly let Josh catch up in Belfast with a pair of 3rd places on the second night!  Sion made the trip north of the border better than Josh last year so we’ll see how he fares this time  Raife Broadley is also right in the mix on the two-stroke, and is making his Aberdeen debut this weekend.

The AX Pro-AM class is always full of thrills and spills! Defending Champ and joint series leader Sion Talbot (#1) lifts the front wheel alongside Jake Taylor (#269), Raife Broadley (#72), Ben White (#338), Ezra Blackwell (#40), and Luke Oldfield.

In the AX Futures class, promising rookie Isaac Ash has sadly broken his arm during the Belfast weekend, so we wish him all the best for his recovery that will hopefully still let him race in Daytona as planned.  Reigning Champion Joel Fisher, who breaks up his usual #711 with a big gold middle “1” on his jersey, holds a strong series lead, but another rookie, Lewis Spratt, is also showing some speed and could be a nuisance to Joel before the end of the season!

Joel Fisher suddenly has a points gap to defend in his attempt to retain the AX Futures title!

AX Futures Points Standings:

In the 85cc Supermini class, Harry Lee has been absolutely dominant in winning all of the races so far.  However, Zane Stephens has kept him honest by finished 2nd each time, leaving the gap still at just 12 points!  Watch out also for Small-Wheel leader Jamie Currie to make his presence felt amongst his older competitors in the mixed-capacity mayhem!

Harry Lee remains unbeaten in the AX Superminis, but needs to keep on the gas!

The 65cc Class has also seen a maximum scorer in the form of John Slade, runner-up last year who has been sharpening his skills for this series! Mason Staddon and Cameron Berry have been battling hard behind him and watch for the Mohican crash helmet of Jimmy Ball to get amongst them as well!

John Slade has been unstoppable in the AX65s!

The all-electric E5 class has the same racers in each round this year, after using a regional qualifying system in 2023.  Roy Townley took maximum points in Belfast after Manchester winner Alfie Ledwood seemed to disagree with  the northern Irish soil.  Cohen Llewellyn will be in the mix as well in this exciting but silent series!

Roy Townley gives everyone the usual view of him in the AXE5 class!
