Who’s ready for a MXGB Foxhill Feast?? 2023 Revo ACU British Motocross Championship Round 3 – Preview & Event info!
The next round of the Revo ACU British Motocross Championship heads to Foxhill, a well-known track located in Wiltshire, England near the town of Swindon this Sunday 14th May.

It is considered one of the best motocross tracks in the UK and is certainly a fan favourite. The track is also host to several prestigious events hosted throughout the years including the VMXDN which draw in huge crowds and riders, whilst also being an ex-gp track in previous years, this raises the profile of the track to an international level. The Foxhill track is known for its challenging terrain, steep hills, and technical sections. The newly revamped track is approximately 1.5 miles long and features a variety of jumps, berms, and obstacles that was used for the 2022 VMXdN will also be used for the British Championship round.
This year Foxhill, home to the Langrish MCC, have confirmed ‘The Bullet’ Jeffrey Herlings will be riding in the MX1 class. Many people will favour 102 time GP winner, Herlings to win the round, however with the likes of current Championship leader Harri Kullas, who won at Foxhill in 2022 and notable names Conrad Mewse, Josh Gilbert and Tommy Searle, he will be in for a challenge. In the previous round at Cadders Hill, Lyng, we saw Crendon Fastrack Honda underdog Josh Gilbert push through for the top spot after a tough first race. However, his team mate Conrad Mewse sits only seven points ahead of Gilbert. It will be a tough battle to continue the Championship as Cab Screens Crecent Yamaha rider, Harri Kullas only has a seven point lead on Mewse, leaving 14 points in it for the top three.
In the MX2 class the Stebbings Car Superstore powered by Bikesure 426 Motorsport pro rider Isak Gifting sits 17 points ahead of ASA Gas Gas rider Bobby Bruce heading into Foxhill. Gifting was challenged by GP rider Jack Chambers at Lyng, who put a stop to Giftings winning streak after a controversial second race. Whilst Isak has a shaky recent history at the Foxhill track after a tossup with Conrad Mewse in 2022 we are sure to see the rider on the podium again. With Jack Chambers out of the picture at Foxhill we are bound to see some future runners come through to the podium, like the sorts of Verde Silhol KTM rider Jake Millward, who currently sits third in the Championship.
Young gun Billy Askew put on a stunning display of talent, taking both race wins in the 250cc class at Lyng. Billy saw second place in the Big Wheel 85cc class at Foxhill last year and will be more than likely looking to push through to the top spot at this years race. With a 24 point lead and a winning streak throughout the season so far, this is looking highly likely. Challenging rider Mckenzie Marshall, had a slight bump at Lyng but we are sure to see him back on his A-game at Foxhill. In the 125cc class rider Jake Walker, who beat Billy in the Big Wheel 85cc class at Foxhill last year is sure to be a fierce contender for the podium this year, sitting in third overall. Ahead of Walker is Wal Beaney who won at Lyng and will be looking to continue the streak into Foxhill. However, Championship leader Recce Jones will be looking to extend his four point lead on Beaney at Foxhill.
Joining us again after a nice break, are the Big Wheel 85cc riders. Whilst in 2022 the class was dominated by Billy and Jake who now moved up classes, we see a new front runner come through the ranks at Oakhanger, Josh Vail took the class by storm and kicked off his season with a ten point lead ahead of Charlie Richmond and Drew Stock who sit second and third respectively. Josh, who rode this track as a Big Wheel 85cc rider in 2022 and placed third has experience above the other riders and will likely end on the podium again this year.

Foxhill is situation 4 miles east of Swindon on the minor road between Baydon and Wanborough, just to the north of the M4 Motorway. From the M4 at junction 15 follow the A419 towards Swindon, at the first exit turn right onto the B4192 to Aldebourne. After 2 miles turn left at Liddington Cross Roads towards Baydon. After 1 mile you reach a crossroad by an Indian restaurant, turn left and the track is half a mile on the right hand.
