Going into the second round the team had plenty of positives to be starting on. With Tom Grimshaw and Alfie Jones recently returning from the MXGP in Italy. Tom would be riding with a slight shoulder injury, which he picked up in the MXGP Moto 1. Whilst Alfie coming in on a high from his brilliant performance in his EMX250 appearance.

Qualifying headed out early on Sunday with MX1 out first – With a stacked field & some added wildcards Tom finished the sessions in 15th and Dan Thornhill in 28th.

MX2 would be the last out to qualify, also with a full gate & plenty of wildcards, We see Alfie 8th, Glenn McCormick 11th after returning from a knee injury, Ben Franklin 26th & Harvey Cashmore 32nd.

Going into the first MX1 Moto, Dan nor Tom got the best of starts but they both got their heads down and picked off riders one by one. Dan showed great speed and aggression coming through the pack & despite Tom’s current shoulder issue, he managed to get himself within the top 10. Some unfortunate events on the final corner, seeing a back marker hinder Toms top 10 finish and put him to 16th. Dan being only a few places behind crossing the line in 19th.

MX2 Moto 1, All the lads got a mid-pack start, However, Glenn & Ben soon made their way up to the top 15 and had extremely good racing between themselves.

With each lap switching positions Glenn eventually crossed the line just in front of Ben to take 12 and Ben 13th. Harvey was having his battles in the race and made his way up into the top 25! crossing the line in 24th. Sadly With a first-lap crash, Alfie retired from the race with a suspected leg injury.

MX1 Moto 2, We certainly thought we’d seen the last of the rain however the heavens decided to open just as the lads would go down to the holding area. Minus the rain, Dan got a brilliant start ahead of Tom and set to it early on.

Another unfortunate event for Tom see him take a tumble, and he decided to call it a day with regard to his shoulder. Meanwhile, Dan continued to battle through and bought himself across the line in a respectful 21st.

MX2 Moto 2, wouldn’t see Alfie making the start due to the first race incident. Glenn had a flying start within the top 6, with Ben and Harvey mid-Pac. Despite it being Glenn’s first proper race back since his knee injury, he was certainly on the move and progressing. Ben was having a blinding race within the top 10 and again Harvey was within the top 25.

Sadly the race was red-flagged just over halfway due to a fence being knocked down just after the finish line, which the clerk of the course deemed unsafe. The race was counted back a lap for Glenn to finish 7th Ben 13th & Harvey 25th.
