Multiple-time South African Motocross Champion Tristan Purdon will once again be racing in the UK, with the announcement that he has signed for the Lexa MX team for 2026.
Purdon who has been at the sharp end of the Motul ACU British Motocross Championship over the past few years was injured last summer at Landrake while racing for the SC Sporthomes Husqvarna team and it looked for a while like the popular racer wouldn’t be seen back on these shores in 2026, but that all has changed today with the news of his Lexa MX deal which will see him ride Honda machinery in the British and Scottish Motocross Championships.
On the news, Tristan said, “I’m really excited to be joining Lexa MX. I’ve been on the bike for a few weeks now and I’m loving it. The new setup feels great and I’m looking forward to the season ahead with the team. It’s been a tough road coming back from injury, but I’m finally starting to feel like myself again on the bike. That’s a big win in itself. Huge thanks to Kris for giving me the opportunity to keep chasing this dream. I’m also looking forward to working closely with Stuart and dialing everything in for the year ahead. And of course, a massive thank you to everyone who continues to support me, especially my private sponsors who look after me so well. I’m grateful for all of you. Let’s get things rolling for the 2026 season.
