The Next Generation of Jones triumphs at Abbycwmhir! 2024 Mid Wales Classic Scramble – Results and Pictures
The annual a round of the Welsh Classic Scrambles Championship took place on Sunday at Home Farm, Abbycwmhir, north of Llandrindod Wells in Mid Wales.

With a capacity grid line out in many of the races and with a grassy track to start the morning’s racing it was a great day all round. One of the star riders had to be 16 year old youngster Rees Jones out on his Grandads 1973 Maico and racing it for the first time, Rees took 4 hole shots, 4 wins a 2nd and a 3rd in both the Pre 78 class and 74 unlimited class races. Gareth Jones aka Grandad who has a wealth of Maico knowledge and raced himself many years ago left Abbeycwmhir a happy man seeing his grandson race his bike around the local track to the Jones family.
