We start 2022 again in uncertain times with COVID-19 restrictions remaining in place in parts of the UK, so we are grateful and thankful to all organisers that wish to support the ACU by offering to put on an event during these unprecedented times.

Opening the season we see the return of the ACU British Extreme Championship, hosted by ACU Promotors Fast Eddy Racing. The Fast Eddy team are no strangers to hosting this Championship with the team now running the series for the 10th year. This Championship promises to test even the most experienced riders.

Testing riders skills against the clock is the ACU British Sprint Series, a perfect way for youth riders to ease themselves into an Enduro type event and an excellent opportunity for extra training for Enudro and Motocross riders in-between other Championships. The Sprint Series runs over a number of two day events, with either one or two Enduro and MX style tests over flowing terrain. Each rider is timed on each test with all times combined together to compile the event results at the end of each round, these events are based on Enduro events without the time check element. Fast Eddy Promotors host this series with current British Enduro Champion Tom Sagar designing the tests.

Probably the most traditional Championship of all, the British Enduro Championship series returns, with continued support from Michelin tyres. Riders are required to register for this Championship via the ACU online entry system before April 9th 2022, only registered riders will gain points towards becoming a British Champion, registrations open Monday 7th February 2022. Will the current title holders be able to retain their honours for 2022, only time will tell……
