Gilbert looking to retain the famous Patchquick Trophy – Preview

Wednesday Evening 21st June the place to be will be Little Silver Moto Parc Exeter where the Monsters of Dirt sponsored Patchquick Trophy event which is hosted by (SWOR) South West Off Road in conjunction with the West of England Motor Club will be taking place.

Last years winner Josh Gilbert from Cornwall on his 450 Crendon Fastrack Honda will be trying to retain this Trophy which is said to be worth somewhere in the region of £20,000, but he will have to be at his best as joining him will be his Honda teammate and current MX1 British Championship leader Conrad Mewse from Somerset who will be on a high after winning both MX1 races at Hawkstone Park prior to this event.

Also, likely to be up there challenging will be the Estonian Harri Kullas who currently sits second in the MX1 British Championship standings who makes his second appearance at this event and for sure will be looking to do well. Other riders in attendance include the likes of Dan Thornhill, Sam Nunn, Jamie Carpenter, three times winner in 2015, 2017 & 2019 Jake Shipton, Charlie Putnam, James Dunn, Joe & Ben Clayton, Josh Taylor, Louie Kessell, former World Enduro Champion Steve Holcombe plus British Enduro Champion Alex Snow who won the Patchquick Trophy back in 2011 before switching to Enduros plus many others.

There will be three main Patchquick Trophy races with four support races which will be sorted into groups of A & B after qualifying.

Practice with qualifying gets underway at 4pm with the main races starting at 6pm.

Little Silver Moto Parc is one of the best viewing tracks in the country with easy parking and there will be many trade stands in attendance as well as refreshments and catering.

Admission is £10 an Adult with Under 14’s free.

Definitely one not to miss and will be signposted off the end of the M5 Motorway Exeter (Postcode EX6 7UD)
