Charlie Heyman completed a superb championship double on Sunday, adding a third consecutive Scottish MX2 title to the British MX2 crown he had already secured with a round to spare a month ago at Duns.
The Sporthomes Husqvarna rider produced a dominant campaign north of the border, winning all six rounds overall of the 2026 Scottish Motocross Championship and taking 17 victories from the 18 races contested. His only defeat came all the way back in race two of the opening round at Tain, meaning Heyman went unbeaten for the remainder of the Scottish season as he completed a hat-trick of consecutive Scottish MX2 championships.
The Scottish crown follows an equally impressive campaign in the Motul ACU British Motocross Championship, where Heyman secured the MX2 title with one round of the series still remaining. Across his British Championship campaign, Heyman claimed two overall round victories, two runner-up finishes and six individual race wins, putting the title beyond reach before the season finale.
With both championships now secured, Heyman reflected on a memorable year on social media:

Across the two championships, Heyman has been in phenomenal form this year, and it will be interesting to see how he goes at the final round of the British MX Championship at Blaxhall without the pressure of worrying about a title.
One thing is for sure: Charlie is going to be a force to be reckoned with for some years to come in the UK, and he is still only 21. Could he be racing in the GPs or in America in 2027?
