Drew Stock is edging ever closer to the 2026 Motul ACU British Motocross Championship 125cc title as the series heads to Round 6 at Canada Heights in Kent on Sunday.

The JK Racing Yamaha rider has enjoyed a sensational campaign, amassing 239 points from the opening 10 motos. His record of seven race wins, two second-place finishes and one third has helped him establish a commanding 43-point advantage over S Briggs Commercials rider Harley Marczak.
Unfortunately for Marczak, his championship hopes have suffered a major setback after he was ruled out of Canada Heights with an arm injury sustained while practising at the Junior World Motocross Championship in the Czech Republic. While Marczak remains second in the standings on 196 points, he will be unable to add to his tally this weekend, opening the door for the riders behind him to close the gap.

Joel Winstanley-Dawson currently occupies third on 149 points, but with 150 points still available across the final three rounds, the battle for the championship runner-up position is wide open.

What Does Drew Need?
With six motos and a maximum of 150 points still available, the championship remains mathematically open, but Stock firmly controls his own destiny.
Marczak’s injury means Joel Winstanley-Dawson is now the rider with the highest possible points total if he were to win every remaining race.
Should Winstanley-Dawson score maximum points from the final six motos, he would finish the season on 299 points.
Stock currently sits on 239 points, meaning he requires just 61 more points to guarantee the British 125cc title regardless of anybody else’s results.
In simple terms, six 10th-place finishes would be enough for Drew Stock to be crowned the 2026 British 125cc Champion, even if Winstanley-Dawson wins every remaining race.
Of course, motocross rarely follows the mathematical script, but it highlights just how commanding Stock’s position has become heading into the final three rounds.
Dominance Through Consistency
The reason Stock finds himself in such an enviable position is simple—consistency.
Across the opening ten races of the season, the JK Racing Yamaha rider has never finished outside the top three.
His results include:
- 7 Race wins
- 2 Second-place finishes
- 1 Third-place finish
That remarkable run has allowed him to steadily build a healthy championship lead while every one of his rivals has dropped valuable points at various stages of the season.
More Than Just A Title Fight
Although Stock looks to have one hand on the championship trophy, the battle behind him promises to be just as fascinating.
With Marczak sidelined this weekend, Joel Winstanley-Dawson has the opportunity to move into second place in the standings if he can enjoy a perfect weekend at Canada Heights.
Behind him, Olly Waters, Archie Stapley, Lucas Moncrieff, Alfie Herron, Christopher Brindley, Hayden Statt and Finley Jay all remain mathematically capable of finishing the season as championship runner-up, ensuring there is still plenty to race for over the final six motos.
One rider who could become a major player is Hayden Statt. After missing two rounds earlier in the season, the youngster returned in sensational style at Monster Mountain by winning both motos and taking a perfect 50-point haul. That result has kept his hopes of finishing second in the championship alive, and another strong performance at Canada Heights could see him make another significant leap up the standings.
Another rider to watch is Bryan Gyles. Despite contesting only the Lyng round this season, Gyles demonstrated his speed by taking a race victory at Round 3 and will be lining up once again this weekend fresh from his appearance alongside Stock and Winsyantley Dawson, Marczak and Olly Waters, at the Junior World MX Championship at the weekend, adding another proven race winner to an already competitive field.
Three Huge Rounds Remain
The championship now heads to:
🇬🇧 Canada Heights
🇬🇧 Duns
🇬🇧 Blaxhall
Six races remain.
One championship is still to be decided.
While Drew Stock enters the weekend in complete control of the title race, the fight behind him is set to intensify as riders battle for the remaining podium positions in the championship. With second place still mathematically achievable for several riders, every point will matter as the 2026 season reaches its climax.
