2026 MXGB British Youth, Womens & Clubman Champions crowned at Foxhill

The Auto-Cycle Union’s 2026 MXGB British Youth Motocross Championships were decided at Foxhill MX Track in Wiltshire at the weekend (3-4 October), bringing the curtain down on a strong season across the Youth, Women and Clubman classes.

As the home of Great Britain’s MXGP round, Foxhill provided a high-profile backdrop to the fifth and final round of a season that started in March at Fatcats, before visiting Preston Docks, Wroxham and Culham.

The series was once again organised by series promoters, British Youth MX, under the management and leadership of Christine Heathcote and Colin and Julie Hambridge.

Nine British champions were crowned at the weekend. Lauren Collingwood secured the MXGB British Women’s Championship with 730 points, ahead of Kelly Philips and Georgie Potter, while Mylie Evans was crowned MXGB British Youth Women’s champion with 755 points.

George Forrest took the British Auto Championship title, with Jack Waters winning the MXGB Youth Junior Championship after finishing the season on 767 points.

Frankie Noll claimed the MXGB Youth Small Wheel 85cc Championship with 707 points, while Casey Lister took the Big Wheel 85cc crown after a close title contest with Cohen Jagielski.

Malachi Allan was crowned MXGB British Youth MXY2 champion, finishing seven points clear of Marley Alder.

The Clubman titles went to Lewis Taylor and Sam Bishop. Lewis won the MXGB British Youth Clubman MX1 Championship with 758 points, while Sam secured the Clubman MX2 title with 687 points.

For ACU steward Steve McCauley, who attended every round this season, the final weekend represented an important step forward for the championship.

“The weekend at Foxhill was the pinnacle of the season,” he said. “The track has had a huge amount of work done to it and there were some big drop-offs and climbs that were going to be a real challenge for the younger riders.

“Every single one of them managed it and they loved it. It was new to many of them and probably a little daunting at first, but the standard of riding was excellent.”

The championship is now in its second season under its current format and Colin Hambridge believes standards have continued to rise.

“The championship has developed a lot this year,” he explained. “We have refined the procedures and brought the way the events operate much closer to where a British Championship should be.

“There has been a learning curve for everyone involved, but the progress across the season has been clear.”

Almost 260 riders competed at Foxhill across the weekend, with 40 machines lining up for the Auto Championship final alone. Hambridge also highlighted the depth of emerging talent across the classes.

“There is some real talent out there,” he said. “The 85cc classes in particular have been very strong, and the Auto Championship produced some great racing as well.”

The Women’s and Youth Women’s Championships also remained separate throughout the season despite lower entry numbers at some rounds.

“We made a commitment that the women would have their own class throughout the year and we kept that commitment,” McCauley added.

“The next step is to build on that and encourage more riders onto the grid. There is plenty for us to take forward from this season and some exciting plans are already being discussed for 2027.”
