2023 British Classic Motocross Championship – The Dates
The AMCA Classic Dirtbike British Classic Motocross Championship committee have unveiled their dates for 2023 alongside the classes and event formats which all can be found below.

Championship 2023 Dates
Round 1 – 14th May – Mid-Wales Classic – Abbeycwmhir
Round 2 – 11th June – Galloway – Lockerbie
Round 3 – 6th August – North Devon Atlantic – Venue TBC
Round 4 – 17th September – South Coast – Venue TBC
AMCA Classic Club Team Event – 13th August – Acorns – Butterton
After a successful year in 2022 the committee has been reviewing ideas about making it even bigger and better.
For 2023 the categories for the Championship will be;
Under 50 – Pre 65
Under 50 – Pre 74
Over 50 – Pre 65
Over 50 – Pre 74
The age cut off for the riders to compete in the Over 50s will be that they need to be 50 on or before 31/12/2023.
All the Under 50s will race in one race together and all the Over 50s will race in the other race all together.
We are also keen to include an Over 65s championship within the Over50s race, to be able to make this viable we would require a minimum of 10 registrations.
We will also be having awards to best Pre60s, Pre68s, 250cc and 350cc riders.
At each event we are looking to have 3 races for each of the categories, meaning that at each championship event there will 6 superb championship races to compete in and watch. The races in 2023 will be 12 minutes + lap each.
Once again, this year we will be running a registration process for ALL classic riders that wish to compete in the 2023 championship. This will be an online form via a link which we will post on the Facebook page and on the AMCA Classic website pages (paper forms will also be available at the Classic Dirt Bike show at Telford). The registration fee we have maintained at £20. We will use the monies collected to plough back into the championship and events.
As we start to think about getting those bikes out from under their winter blankets, we are all excited for the 2023 AMCA British Classic Motocross Championship.
