Ward-Clarke dominates and Arncott Moto Park! Kensworth SMXC Club Championship Round 6 – Race Report and Results

KSMXC headed to Arncott Moto park in Oxfordshire for round six, the later summer sun shined and the track provided us, with some superb racing.

The competitive Small Wheel 85’s started the day. Blake Ward-Clarke dominated in all three motos, he excelled in the rutty conditions to take the overall… A consistent Harley O’Callaghan showed his speed and determination to take a great second place, with Zachary Howells taking third.

Riley-Ray Barrow dominated in the Junior 65 class with a 1-1-1. A great ride from Franky Donoghue saw him take the second podium spot. With a consistent Danny Jamel taking third.

The stacked Schoolboy class saw some great racing!! In the four stroke class, Seth Manners and Luke Southern went head to head, Manners took the first moto with Southern taking the second, so it was all down to Moto three to decide who would be on the top step, Southern took it and showed his pace, with Manners second and a great consistent ride from Tyler Etheridge to take the final podium position. In the two stroke class Josh Jones, Oliver Ruddock and Kyron Carron were all battling at the same pace for the top spot, Josh Jones though just had that extra speed to take the overall with Ruddock second and Carron third.

In the Over 35’s Matty White was a class act and showed in Moto one and two his dominance, but in Moto three the rough conditions got the better of him, which allowed Stevie Worts to take the final Moto. White took the overall, with Worts second. A smooth consistent Stuart Scott on the 350 KTM took third.

In the fast under 35 group, Drew Anderson dominated race one, but didn’t finish the day, so it was left to Charlie Putnam and Robert Yates, to battle it out. Putnam took the second moto, but in the third moto Putnam went down hard, so it was left for Yates to take the victory in the moto and the overall win with a 2-2-1. Daryl Wallis took second with the sponsor of the day Richard Cater taking third.

In the Big Wheel class, there was some fierce racing between Harry Jarvis and Lewis Evans. Jarvis took the overall with a great 1-2-1. Evans was second, with Kai Thorpe showing his speed in the last moto to secure third.

In the Auto class, Travis Meese showed his speed and class to take the overall victory with a 1-1-1. Stanley Lewis and Tyler Moss battled for the other podium positions, Lewis took second with a 2-3-2 with Moss taking third.

Finally, a thank you to the track owners for allowing KSMXC at their great track at such short notice. KSMXC heads to Buttercup Farm, Chatteris for their penultimate round on the 10th October…
