Dirt Store Triumph Racing’s Tommy Searle has revealed on Social Media that he has some “fractures to a couple vertebrae’s” following his huge get off in the Main Event of the Arenacross World Tour Finals in Abu Dhabi on Saturday.
Tommy looked the best of the domestic Brits, leading the majority of his first heat before being pipped by Cedric Soubeyras for the win. In his second heat, he finished a solid fifth to make it through to the main event, where he would crash out while in sixth, taking Soubeyras with him and causing the race to be red-flagged.

This now raises big question marks over his future Motul British Motocross Championship and VMXDN commitments, but the main thing is that he makes a full recovery.
Tommy’s full statement is below, and we wish him a speedy recovery.
“Abu Dhabi @arenacrossworldtour was great until it wasn’t…Brushed past a hay bale that had been knocked into the track in the final and it got caught in my wheel then locked it up shortly after and that was all she wrote. I’ll have more checks now I’m home but After CT and MRI scans out there it looks as though I’ve some fractures to a couple vertebrae’s in my back some old and some new so
“I’ll see a specialist here to determine what’s what and how to go about it the next few weeks but it’s all stable which is good news. The @dirtstoretriumphracing crew were mega @nick_dirtstore @dylan__woodcock @jongiffard @paulclarke87 unreal trip up until that Thanks to Nick for getting me home home safely 🫶💯 | Lastly an Amazing event that @arenacrossworldtour put on out there fair play to them!”
