The Dirt Track Riders Association (DTRA) proudly concludes the 2025 Flat Track Nationals, presented in partnership with Royal Enfield, our title sponsor. The championship featured thirteen competitive classes and thrilling racing across five rounds at Workington Speedway, Greenfield Dirt Track, and Mallory Park.

It was the turn of Tom Neave riding for the Sportax Fantic to win the overall honours in the 2025 season in the pro class. Tom was dominant throughout the year and remained consistent on the full range of tracks the season had in store. Triumph supported rider Jack Bell fought hard throughout the year and was still in with a shout at the championship but the weather affected season did not play in his favour. The Royal Enfield of Gary Birtwistle rounded out the top 3 for the pros.
The season was slightly shorter than normal due to weather disruptions. Day two at Mallory Park and the Amman Valley round were affected by rain, and the rescheduled Amman Valley event had to be cancelled due to Storm Amy. Despite these challenges, the best riders from across the UK were in action at the well-attended events. The Season Finale at Greenfield Dirt Track attracted an excellent international field, and played host to our inaugural International Women’s Race to celebrate the DTRA’s ongoing support of women in motorsport. The race was packed with women taking part from all over Europe, Canada, the USA and South America. The finale at Greenfield Dirt Track gave the club an amazing end to a year of tough racing and challenges.

The closest call of the year was the inters class. Joao Da Costa and Bradley Perkins slugged it out all year and again due to weather never really got to settle the score at the final round. It was Costa who took the win by just one point. In the rookie class it was Chloe Johnson who took the honours ahead of Ben Bell (Jack Bells brother).
The DTRA now moves into planning mode, the 2026 season diary is well underway and we will be planning some changes and familiar races for the 2026 season. Keep an eye on our socials and share your off season plans with us. Let’s make the 2026 season another special one and celebrate as Dirt Track in the UK moves into its 21st full season.
