The inaugural TOWI SX Supercross event, which was due to take place at Kelvedon Hall in Brentwood, Essex, on the 12th and 13th of September, has been postponed until 2027.
The organisers have announced that the decision has been made due to ongoing matters between Kelvedon Hall and the local authorities. While they say the issues are resolvable, they will not be settled in time to stage the event to the standard originally planned.
The event, promoted by Pinnacle Trax Ltd, was set to feature a UK-only Pro class alongside Youth and Amateur racing as part of a family-friendly festival weekend, with riders including Jack Brunell, Dylan Woodcock, Martin Barr and Eddie Wade already confirmed. The long-term vision remains to establish a three-round Summer Supercross Series, culminating in a flagship event at Kelvedon Hall.
Organisers have confirmed that all riders, campers and spectators who purchased entries or tickets will receive a full refund within the next 10 days. They also revealed that everyone who booked for this year’s event will receive a discount on their 2027 entry or tickets as a thank you for their support.
The organisers also confirmed that details of a new three-round Summer Supercross Series will be announced once the major motocross championship calendars have been finalised.
The organisers issued the following statement:
“It is with great regret that we have made the difficult decision to postpone the event until 2027 due to ongoing matters between Kelvedon Hall and the local authorities. While these issues are resolvable, they won’t be resolved in time for us to deliver the event to the standard we promised.
“All riders, campers and spectators will receive a full refund within the next 10 days. Everyone who booked this time your details will be saved everyone will receive a discount on their 2027 entry/tickets as a thank you for your support.
“We will be announcing our 3-round Summer Supercross Series once the major motocross championship calendars have been confirmed.
“Thank you for your incredible support and understanding. We know this is disappointing, but we’re determined to come back in 2027 bigger and better than ever.”
