The Final Frontier! ACU Eastern Motocross Championship Finale – Preview

The 7th, and final round of the ACU Eastern Motocross Championships takes place at Cadders Hill, Lyng, on Sunday, hosted by the Norwich Vikings club. The series, sponsored by PPSports insurance, and long-term sponsor, Stebbings Car Superstore, has attracted most of the region’s top riders, including the Norfolk trio of Luke Parker, Declan Whittle and Ben Cole.

Parker, who last won the series in 2016, is fresh from his great performance at the ISDE in France, has amassed enough points already in the Eastern Championships to take the title, but no doubt, he will be going for the win on his home circuit. Other experts include, Sam Nunn, Shaun Southgate, Brad Woodroffe, Thomas Murphy, Josh Peters, and fast youngster, Bayliss Utting.

The top junior grade riders will also be battling in the premier class races, but their points will be scored separately. Up and coming teenagers, Joseph Leeks and Jake Rackham are the favourites in the junior series, and will be joining the expert rankings next year, along with Travis Frost.

The meeting also includes a round of the popular NGR over 30’s Championships. Following the timed practise sessions, racing should start at around 11.30 am.

Current positions after round 6:

Experts: Luke Parker 369, Ben Cole 291, Declan Whittle 270, Shaun Southgate 264, Brad Woodroffe 251, Will Farrow 242

Juniors: Joseph Leeks 397, Travis Frost 259, Jake Rackham 241, Connor Bunkle 238, Finley Jarvis 235.
