In the MXGP class, luck wasn’t on the side of MRT Racing Team Beta’s Ben Watson, as he crashed within the first three turns and rode back to pit lane in some discomfort with his left knee.
Chambers Racing’s Adam Sterry had a steady ride in the qualifying race, coming home in 16th place. Sterry made progress throughout the race and was closing in on 15th before the chequered flag was waved. Lexa MX’s only have one pilot on the line this weekend, with John Adamson finishing in 20th. It was a strong ride for Adamson, as his pace was the best he has shown all season – staying in touch with many of the riders ahead of him until a late-race mistake dropped him back to 20th. There was no luck for the other wild card rider, Jamie Carpenter. The Crendon Tru7 Honda pilot did not line up for the qualifying race; hopefully, we’ll see him tomorrow!
In EMX250, Ben Mustoe was the star of the show after pulling a great start and running inside the top five during the opening laps. He held strong in sixth for much of the race before slipping back two positions on his own, and a mistake on the penultimate lap ultimately shuffled him to a ninth-place finish. A great effort from Mustoe, who—unlike many of his competitors—hasn’t had the chance to compete in any EMX rounds so far in 2025.

Another rider making his first EMX appearance was Charlie Heyman, who came home in 14th place. Heyman was mixing it up inside the top 10 for over half the race, until the final two laps when he lost four positions to cross the line in a solid 14th. Chambers Racing’s Ollie Colmer made it three Brits inside the points, finishing in 16th. After a so-so start, Colmer found himself in race-long battles with various competitors and worked his way up from 20th to 16th by the time the chequered flag waved. Josh Vail finished just two positions shy of the points, battling from 27th up to 22nd—a commendable effort for his EMX250 debut.
Dirt Store Triumph’s Billy Askew ripped an amazing start coming around the first turn inside the top-3, before hitting a slick spot which meant he crashed and the remainder of the pack hit his motorcycle, leaving him unable to continue.
Dominic Newbury finished in 25th, with Max Harris (27th), Sonny Rooney (29th), Will Haddock (31st), Jake Davies (34th), Harvey Cashmore (35th) and Billy Askew (DNF) all finishing behind him.
Charlie Richmond was the standout performer in the EMX125 class, finishing in 14th place. Richmond battled inside the top 10 for over half the race but lost pace in the final three laps, which pushed him back to his eventual finishing position – still a great ride from Richmond! Hayden Statt also secured some valuable championship points, coming home in 19th after spending much of the race inside the top 15. It was definitely a step in the right direction for Statt in Race 1.
Drew Stock got a poor start and had a mountain to climb from lap one. After clawing his way back to 24th by lap five, a crash just one lap later dropped him to 30th. Dealing with a puncture for the remainder of the race, Stock was only able to salvage 29th place. Harry Lee finished just one position behind him in 30th, making his EMX125 debut. Rounding out the Brits, Lucas Moncrieff came home in 32nd place after recovering from nearly dead last.
In the Junior E Class Austin Senior got the home crowd cheering with a fantastic win. Watch our for our full British Junior E Report after the weekend!
