Team GB Motocross of Nations - Who should we take??

With most Countries having announced their 2025 Motocross of Nations teams, our thoughts turn to who Team GB manager Mark Chamberlain should pick to represent the Union Jack in Ironman.

There is a trio of obvious choices, but logistics, injuries and a whole host of other things that Mark needs to consider when making his picks.

To me, the three standout picks would be:

Ben Watson:  He has top ten speed in the GP’s on a consistent basis which no other British racer has

Conrad Mewse: By far the best domestic rider we have and based on his performance at last year’s MXON at Matterley, he certainly has the pace to be in the top ten or higher at Ironman

Adam Sterry: Consistently in the points in GP’s and solidly the second best MX1 rider in the British MX Champs

But the big question here is who rides the 250??

All of the above currently race 450s. Beta doesn’t have a 250, and Conrad is unlikely to want to drop down. We understand Adam is willing to ride a 250 and has access to one.

Max Anstie would have been an option, being based in the States, but on Tommy Searle’s Vlog, Mark Chamberlain, when asking Tommy if he would race the nations, said that Max won’t be doing it.

So could Tommy be the 250 choice?? He is the fastest in the UK on a 25o right now, but let’s not get away from the fact he is 35 years old. Is it time that we gave the young riders the chance? Lets be fair they are our future and the more experience they get the better, so should we be looking at Ben Mustoe, Charlie Heyman, Billy Askew or even Joe Brookes for the 250 spot.

Over to you, let us know your thoughts!
